Course Description
This is a complete college level course in Differential Equations with TONS of examples.
*** In order to get the most out of the course you should know Calculus ***
Basically just,
1) Watch the videos, and try to follow along. Try to do the problems before I do them if you can. If you can't, no big deal:)
2) After each section there is short assignment(with solutions).
3) Repeat!
If you finish even 50% of this course you will know A LOT of Differential Equations and more importantly just a lot of really solid mathematics.
Differential Equations is an awesome class not just because of the differential equations but because of all of the other key math techniques you learn in the process. This course covers all the key techniques usually covered in most differential equations courses. After taking this course you should know a lot of differential equations and roughly the equivalent of what is taught in a college level course. The hardest thing about this course is the integration techniques, most of which are learned in Calculus 1 and Calculus 2. I have tried to explain these techniques when they come up so hopefully you can follow along and learn lots of math.
I hope you enjoy watching these videos and working through these problems as much as I have:)

The Math Sorcerer
I was born on a small unnamed Island in the Pacific Ocean inhabited mostly by natives who practiced mathematics on a daily basis.
My mother was a witch who specialized in Calculus and my father was a warlock who was well versed in the dark arts of Algebra.
As I grew older so did my thirst for knowledge, and so I set out on a long voyage to improve my mathematical skills. I traveled the world for years and learned a great deal of mathematics, but it wasn't until I met that raging Hobbit that my true powers started to show.
I am here today to share my magical powers with you.
Come join on me on this journey as we explore the world of mathematics together.

absolutely love how simple he makes it. He teaches it to you in the most basic way and makes it so easy to digest. Most professors waste so much time explaining theoretical useless nonsense and don't simplify their teachings to the this level. Thank you so much for teaching me diff eq because my teacher hasn't taught me a single thing. If it weren't for this course I would have dropped differential equations. Thank you!

This course is phenomenal! The instructor works through many excellent examples and explains everything along the way. These are the best explanations of DEs that I have seen. Then you can work through exercises in each section to reinforce what was in the examples.

This is the 3rd course of mathematics that I have taken with the Math Sorcerer. Every course is so well explained and if you don't understand the concept immediately, due to the many examples that are explained in great detail, it is impossible not to progress forward. I would highly recommend this to all students, simply because maths is beautiful and here it is so easy to understand.

This course came out to be extremely helpful for me. I study calculus of variations and to make your life easier you have to know how to solve differential equations....but we haven't took them yet. So...This course gave me ample knowledge how to succeed in the class.

It's good. When I see this reference again, I am still learning. For example, after a long time, I had problems with the constants when I integrate the 2 sides. I kinda forgot. With Math Sorcerer I now remember that each constant can only do one on the right side. Difficult to find this explanation on other video site. Very good

great introduction to lots of basic differential equations techniques. explanations are very straightforward and based on examples. there are lots of additional examples for most concepts too and lots of problem sets for even more practice. i bought the course to prepare for a for credit version of differential equations and i think the material will be very useful.

So far the course has been great. The examples he goes over are reasonably at a medium difficulty. If you are worried about your math skills, then I suggest that you do not hesitate in taking his course. The Math Sorcerer provides solutions along with the assignments, and he explains just about everything you need. What I love about what he does is that he repeats the method of how to solve every type of problem, some may find this bothersome, however, this helps me reinforce the concepts he is teaching. If you are still stuck due to a minor mistake on a problem, then he has these questions posted on youtube. I highly recommend that when you're in doubt to check his channel to see the steps he takes to solve the problems. On the sections of first order linear differential equations, I find the method the Math Sorcerer uses to find the unkown variable y a bit too complicated. A much simpler way of solving that can be found on youtube by other content creators with experience on the subject. That by no means conveys that the Math Sorcerer is not correct and that he is not great at math, he is great at math! It is just his method of solving first order differential equations, at first, was difficult for me. In conclusion, I am taking this course to help me learn the material faster so that, next semester I won't have to put too much time into my differential equations course, so I am learning most, if not, all the content early. Thank you!

Yes, good course so far. Great examples. I took this by correspondence years ago before there was an online anything. Wish I had had this course then to augment the course I was taking. The text was very difficult to read. Look forward to more Math Sorcerer courses!

Best course and teacher on math anywhere - period! Short, simple, crystal clear explanations. Little, bite-sized pieces of complicated concepts made understandable and to stick to long term memory. Light-hearted and fun delivery from the Math Sorcerer, a name well deserved. Not a boring talking head on a screen but an animate performance to enjoy: you're having fun and learning math - that's not suppose to happen. Hope he make more videos!!!
