Course Description
This is a complete college level course in Algebra, hence the name College Algebra:)
Basically just,
1) Watch the videos, and try to follow along with a pencil and paper, take notes!
2) Eventually you should be able to do the problems before I do them. Try! Keep watching until you can do the problems on your own:)
3) There are assignments throughout the course. Work through these if you need more practice.
4) Repeat!
If you finish even 50% of this course you will know A LOT of College Algebra and more importantly your Algebra skills will improve a ton!
College Algebra is an awesome class because it prepares you for higher level math in a big way. To be honest, lots of higher level math like Calculus isn't even that hard, it's the ALGEBRA that makes Calculus hard! This means if you become really good at Algebra then once you get to Calculus it will be much easier!
I hope you enjoy watching these videos and working through these problems as much as I have:)
Note this course has lots of very short videos with assignments. If you are trying to learn algebra then this format can be good because you don't have to spend tons of time on the course every day. Even if you can only spend time doing 1 video a day, that is honestly better than not doing any mathematics. You can learn a lot and because there are so many videos you could do 1 video a day. Good luck and I hope you learn a lot of math.

The Math Sorcerer
I was born on a small unnamed Island in the Pacific Ocean inhabited mostly by natives who practiced mathematics on a daily basis.
My mother was a witch who specialized in Calculus and my father was a warlock who was well versed in the dark arts of Algebra.
As I grew older so did my thirst for knowledge, and so I set out on a long voyage to improve my mathematical skills. I traveled the world for years and learned a great deal of mathematics, but it wasn't until I met that raging Hobbit that my true powers started to show.
I am here today to share my magical powers with you.
Come join on me on this journey as we explore the world of mathematics together.

Was using this to help self-study algebra. It was a very nice tool. The short lessons helped me jump in on the days I did not want to do math. It kept me going. The lessons taught a ton of content in a short time period. They were well explained and did not go too fast. It gave me the inspiration to do more math!

Absolutely AMAZING! I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to take a college algebra course online so I purchased this course to learn it. I WAS able to do one at my college, but this course was a GAME CHANGER in helping me to learn it. The Math Sorcerer taught it in regular ordinary wording and gave such great tips to help remember things!

Helped me allot to remember, learn and apply basic algebra subjects, even some of them that I didn't properly saw when I was in High School, that was a great help since I need a really strong basis to some next level Math. Thank you :)

The course was good to refresh all my maths knowledge which is is was quite rusty. the course offers different topics in an accessible and understandable way. Next step would be to buy a book on Algebra and do more exercise in order to master all the knowledge learned here.

Great course all around. The instructor often reiterates concepts when giving solutions for problems, which I think helps with remembering them. It's best to try to do each problem as it comes up, before the instructor explains it. That's the whole point of practice problems. I took this course to reinforce my fundamentals before diving into trigonometry and calculus, and I can say without a doubt that it was worth it. The course would have definitely benefited from more word problems and assignments.

Excellent course for my purposes! I signed up to take Calculus 1 after having previously taken it ~15 years ago. Since that time I've used nothing but the most basic math for work and life and wanted a refresher of College Algebra prior to starting my Calc class. I did what prior reviewers suggested and paused each video, worked out the problem on my own, and then watched the Math Sorcerer working out the problem. The whole experience was super helpful and I learned and re-learned a ton!

I really enjoyed this course! I have always had an interest in math even though I pursued the arts in college. I've always seen it as a puzzle to solve, and these videos really refreshed my memory of college algebra. Thank you, Math Sorcerer!

Wow, very easy to follow and learn without the long explanations. Very good course to refresh math. Later update 100 lessons in, I finally figured out many areas I struggled with in Calculus 1. Coming from about 17 year math break this course backfills a lot of blanks. Magnificent and like the efficiency. Started to like math more now then before going through this course. Thanks for making this! Update after finishing this course: My review stands, the only complaint - I wish we would get more homework type of problems to solve ourselves. I did try to solve many problems myself before finishing the videos and it does help, but if the solution would be a bit different with a used shortcut/trick - I would want that to be in my notepad instead of my solution so I can go back to it when I work on my main math course for college - Calculus

I liked how it went over the main important concepts in a clear and concise manner and he had multiple examples of each. I was able to do most of the problems before he started. I like how he explained overall how the logs worked such as being the inverse of exponential forms for the graphs, but I am still confused about some of the log concepts so I need to review that section again. Other than that, great review, I feel confident in moving forward in my math journey.

I would not recommend this course to a complete beginner, because a lot of things are left unexplained - for example, he merely mentions how the quadratic formula is derived from completing the square without demonstrating because doing so would "take too long". If you have some knowledge of algebra and just need some reminding etc then this course is usable but then so is Khan Academy; also, these videos are up on youtube for free - although with ads.
