Affinity Publisher - The Essentials for Beginners V1 & V2 (Udemy.com)

It seems to me that there should have been another lesson prior to this one that would start with a completely blank screen and show you how to get and establish a panel and how to select and manage the tools . I'm lost already and I just started the lessons.

This was a great introduction to Publisher. I was not familiar with Publisher at all, although I am fairly experienced with Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Photoshop, so not a beginner concerning a lot of the tools and concepts. That being said, the instructor assuming minimal experience on these kinds of tools was appropriate for the level of this class. I found the sessions well-explained and the projects easy to follow and instructive. I feel like the class gave me a good grounding to continue with Publisher. Thanks!

I highly recommend this Affinity Publisher course! The instructor was engaging, and I ended up learning far more than I expected — including some fantastic design tips I didn’t anticipate. The exercises throughout the course were incredibly helpful and encouraged me to create my own projects along the way. By the end of the image section, I had already designed a brochure for my favorite video game franchise, Dragon Quest. If you're using Affinity Publisher on iPad, be aware that the menus can be quite different in some areas, and certain options may be tricky to find. Despite that, I still give this course a full 5 stars — the content and teaching quality more than make up for it!

This course is perfection, is awesome, is what every beginner needs to start with Affinity Publisher right away! I am so delighted with all the new things I learned, and so excited about how this is improving my skills in my job. Excellent course. Definitely takes you from beginner to WOW! Loved the way, Tim shows you how to create things and then encourages you to try it yourself, either following his demonstration or creating your own. Learning to create different types of images for brochures, social media posts and more using different shapes, colors, pictures, gradients, text and more was awesome. Looking forward to taking the Intermediate - Advanced Course.

I purchased the Affinity V2 Suite on super sale to simply whap out t-shirt designs. This course is AMAZING! I now realize I'm embarking on learning a skillset that will serve me well in many other endeavors. Starting from ZERO knowledge, I need and greatly appreciate Tim Wilson's slow, reassuring pace. The ability to make notes ROCKS. Thankx Tim!!!!!

Geweldige cursus, niets op aan te merken! Tim zegt geen woord teveel in de compacte lessen. Hierdoor doe je razendsnel alle belangrijke basiskennis op. Door Tim steeds te volgen in wat hij voordoet, produceer je vanaf het begin mooie professioneel ogende publicaties. Ik kijk er naar uit om aan de vervolgcursus te beginnen! He is focusing too much on basic functions, the first 30 seconds of each video are a waste of time in which he speaks about previous knowledge, should explain faster. Personally up till now the only useful thing I learned is how to show columns. I hope it will get more complex

Mr. Wilson is an excellent teacher! All of his lessons are bite-sized bits that you can do with him as you follow along. He is very thorough in his explanations, and the projects at the end of the sections are very helpful in reinforcing what you've learned. So happy I found him here on Udemy! I was so impressed with his teaching style, half-way through I signed up for the next part. Thanks Tim!

This is a phenomenal course. The instructor is fantastic, and explains complex topics in an easily understandable and entertaining way. Course contains exercises and projects, so we can practice what we learned, and it really improved me as a graphic designer. I highly recommend this course to anyone. Thank you very much!
