Learnt a lot from this training His real world experience really helped to make things easier for us to understand. I also felt this field is lot more involved than learning from one/two online courses, but definitely this traning would give a good start. Mastering the nuances and various other strategies has been left to the students to learn and experience on their own. I just wish there is a way to backtest our option strategies with IB historical data, looks like it is not that easy to do. May be we need to build our backtest engine and get data outside.

Amazing course, thank you! I have been studied for some months - basic, advanced courses and this one - to understand IB API for options . Now I have got enough knowledge to implement my own ideas.

IMHO: The course does what the title advertises - nothing more, nothing less. The presented concepts and tools are greatly helpful for an understanding of principles and relationships of instruments, markets and some resources. That alone is worth it for me. It gives a good conceptual toolkit which can provide the building blocks of strategies and systems to be designed and implemented with the help of further resources. The aspects of generating, quantifying and validating a complete trading system pipeline is not covered here. For me it is, after all, a collection of very useful, individual tools. The code, from a software engineer's perspective, is, frankly, messy, not always safe, at times (unnecessarily) hard to understand and I personally would not copy and trust it (esp. with my money). However, production quality software engineering is obviously not the goal of this course. I do treat it as a pure POC to gain some further understanding of underlying semantical concepts and principles from, which gives it value and merit. Thanks for the work to enrich my toolbox. :-)

This series is really way more than one could possibly hope for in a course about options. The instructor's technical interpretation and explanation of quant finance is very approachable and has helped me dive in an understand the topic more. Highly recommended.

Excellent course in both content and presentation. I learned a lot of useful insights both on programming and options math, even though I've been trading options at banks and hedge funds for many years. After completion you will have all the tools to start trading on the IB platform.

The teacher offers a lot of insights and details into how to extract historical data, which is super helpful to start the quant journey, it will be better if he provides more information regarding how to develop a trading algorithm.

The course has a lot of great information but the coding isn’t the best, as were the cases with his other 2 Udemy IB Python API courses. The students often posted better code in Q&A.

So far so good...the teacher is really good at explaining but I had some problems because I didn't take the previous courses, because he's always referring to them but at the same time I'm learning another language! Cheers!

Fantastic course with a practical implementation of a non-trivial option trading strategy using the IB API. Well explained and good live coding buildup to the full strategy.
