Don't do it unless you have $20000 to fund into IBKR account that will only qualify you to use API. Only make it through Section 2 . I bought this course because I saw last update was 2025. Big mistake.

Great course to learn how to code base on IBAPI. I learn a lot from this course. some code are outdated. But you can use chatgpt to fix it. Most of the key scripts have been updated and working ( exp: Backtesting Strategies, Designing&Deploying Strategies...) at Dec 2025. I have to use python version 3.9.25 becaue IBKR API version required. Hope tutor can keep updating the code resources and content. Thank you.

That's amazing! I looked for the course to learn using IB API in a sctructured manner. I needed some basics to parse the historical data, but this course broads your horizons, - I knew some issues which I even didn't know before can be done. Many nuances have been outlined which I wouldn't be able to discover by myself. Especially I liked that Mayank shows how the way to discover this to that issue from IB API documentation.

Content is excellent. There is scope for improvement though in terms of "EASE OF VIEWING" for students. The coding lectures capture the entire spyder IDE's screen and hence a very small sized font is visible on screen of both the coding area and the console. This makes it very difficult to go with the flow of the lecture because the content at times being non legible, makes it difficult to read and comprehend. If you watch it in a tablet or a phone, then its more difficult. Some software should be used like other instructors on Udemy generally do, so that relevant live parts of the code where instructor is currently explaining the concept should be zoomed so that it becomes easier for students to read and comprehend what is going on. Otherwise content is excellent. Thanks!

This course has helped me greatly in enhancing some areas I don't understand, such as how to calculate returns for intraday trading. Mayank is great in teaching about the details and have a down-to-earth style of teaching, explaining things and details very well, and the responses are quick and kind. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in algo trading, however basic Python knowledge about Pandas and NumPy are needed, but not too complicated!

Thank you for this wonderful course. I had the opportunity to speed up my coding and eventually my pair trading. I am now spending less time for live trading and more time for researching. I purchased this course and first started through the material a year ago. My plan was to learn python and write some code utilizing IB API that would emulate my trading. How hard could that be? hehe My first time exposed to this material made me realize I had no clue what was going on with the eclient/wrapper architecture, and many other things... So here I am a year later (with lots of classes and coding in between) and I'm almost done with my trading app. This class inspired me to really dig in and see the source code. I really loved that about the instructor's approach, he digs into the documentation and shows you the answer. So this second time through the information really made me feel comfortable that I may actually understand the eclient/wrapper way. There is very little information about this specific topic (IB API, python, alg trading) in general outside of the docs. This course/instructor provided a path with tons of detail and great code example.

Very detailed explanations of the ins and outs of the IB TWS API. It enables you to be able to develop trading strategies with and execute them. In my opinion it would have been better to have slowly developed one app with the convenience functions shown in this course, instead of copying and pasting blocks of code from one place to the other. When I asked a question the instructor answered quickly. Overall, a very useful course if you want to implement backtesting and live trading strategies with the IB TWS API.

This is an excellent intro/intermediate level course for someone wanting to start out with algorithmic trading and specifically navigate through interactive brokers' python API. If you already have experience with python and coding in general, this will be a great way to get up and running with TWS API very quickly. If you're like me and have no prior programming experience and are trying to completely self teach yourself coding, the learning curve can be steep. However, the layout of the course is great and I definitely recommened it for people who specifically want to trade on IB.

I took many courses on Udemy but this one was a rare gem. 1. The course is straight to the point, synthesized but explained very well; 2. The teacher uses clear language and tackles key points of the API's and the logic of the implementation; 3. The teacher is extremely helpful and quick in the replies to his students, I have waited at max 12 hours before getting an in depth reply. 5 stars and congratulations for the teacher, it's been an amazing course.
