Clear and to the point. I feel like I understand Spark, and how to program it in Scala. Examples and diagrams illustrated concepts very well. Never went too deep, but also never just skimmed the top. After every single video, I was more and more capable of programming Spark. This course gave me a better understanding of how Spark may be used at my job (I'm not a programmer there, so I don't see the actual code).

It's a great course. It was easier for me because of my background as a .net developer. But, I think that It's not so good for people without any programming skills or sql skills. Because when you are familiarized with programming you are able to search and solve problems.

Trainer has in-depth knowledge on the topic, he not only discuss what are the concepts available in spark, he explain, why it is there and how it work internally. All the videos are designed with proper and precise content with examples. Programming is not efficient till we understand how the framework and internal system work, that's what this course cover. Excellent job.

I am a beginner, but after going through the Prashant's course, I feel I am ready to start coding. He has explained everything in details. Most of the other courses would start with coding without explaining the theory behind it, Prashant has covered both really well.

This is great course - I have enjoyed it. It seems little bit fast - especially for the beginner as spark/Scala beginner would like to have more explanation on basic things. At the same time - this course is packed with all the fundamentals required to know how spark works and provides all the required insights. Great - isn't it?. Keep Learning & keep growing. I would highly recommend all the courses from the learning journal website.

But I was asked in an interview about cache() , Persist() , Accumulator and Broadcast Variable (of course , you have covered Broadcast Joins very well). I like the scenarios you took while explanation. if possible could you please consider adding a session explaining the above methods please.

I have been planning to start with spark for some time now and this course looks like the best path to start . Touching all topics from implementation to Performance . Prashant way of teaching is amazing the way he describes the topic and shows the possible pitfall or issues you might encounter during implementation
