APPLIED STATISTICAL MODELING FOR DATA ANALYSIS IN R
COMPLETE GUIDE TO STATISTICAL DATA ANALYSIS & VISUALIZATION FOR PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS IN R
Confounded by Confidence Intervals? Pondering Over p-values? Hankering Over Hypothesis Testing?
Hello, My name is Minerva Singh and I am an Oxford University MPhil (Geography and Environment) graduate. I recently finished a PhD at Cambridge University (Tropical Ecology and Conservation).
I have several years of experience in analyzing real-life data from different sources using statistical modelling and producing publications for international peer-reviewed journals. If you find statistics books & manuals too vague, expensive & not practical, then you’re going to love this course!
I created this course to take you by hand teach you all the concepts, and take your statistical modelling from basic to an advanced level for practical data analysis.
With this course, I want to help you save time and learn what the arcane statistical concepts have to do with the actual analysis of data and the interpretation of the bespoke results. Frankly, this is the only course you need to complete in order to get a head start in practical statistical modelling for data analysis using R.
My course has 9.5 hours of lectures and provides a robust foundation to carry out PRACTICAL, real-life statistical data analysis tasks in R, one of the most popular and FREE data analysis frameworks.
GET ACCESS TO A COURSE THAT IS JAM-PACKED WITH TONS OF APPLICABLE INFORMATION! AND GET A FREE VIDEO COURSE IN MACHINE LEARNING AS WELL!
This course is your sure-fire way of acquiring the knowledge and statistical data analysis skills that I acquired from the rigorous training I received at 2 of the best universities in the world, the perusal of numerous books and publishing statistically rich papers in renowned international journals like PLOS One.
To be more specific, here’s what the course will do for you:
(a) It will take you (even if you have no prior statistical modelling/analysis background) from a basic level to performing some of the most common advanced statistical data analysis tasks in R.
(b) It will equip you to use R for performing the different statistical data analysis and visualization tasks for data modelling.
(c) It will Introduce some of the most important statistical concepts to you in a practical manner such that you can apply these concepts for practical data analysis and interpretation.
(d) You will learn some of the most important statistical modelling concepts from probability distributions to hypothesis testing to regression modelling and multivariate analysis.
(e) You will also be able to decide which statistical modelling techniques are best suited to answer your research questions and applicable to your data and interpret the results.
The course will mostly focus on helping you implement different statistical analysis techniques on your data and interpret the results.
After each video, you will learn a new concept or technique which you may apply to your own projects immediately!

I completed a PhD (University of Cambridge, UK) in 2017 where I focussed on implementing data science techniques for quantifying the impact of forest loss on tropical ecosystems. I hold an MPhil (School of Geography and Environment) and an MSc (Department of Engineering) from Oxford University. I have more than 10 year's experience in conducting academic research (published in high level peer-reviewed international scientific journals such as PLOS One) and advising both non-governmental and industry stakeholders in data science, deep learning and earth observation (EO) related topics.
I have a strong track record in implementing machine learning, data visualization, spatial data analysis, deep learning and natural language processing tasks using both R and Python. In addition to being educated at the best universities in the world, I have honed my statistical and data analysis skills through many MOOCs, including The Analytics Edge (R based statistics and machine learning course offered by EdX), Statistical Learning (R-based Machine Learning course offered by Stanford online) and the IBM Data Science Professional certificate Track. I specialise in a variety of topics ranging from deep learning (Tensorflow, Keras) to machine learning to spatial data analysis (including EO data processing), data visualizations, natural language processing, financial analysis among others. I have acted as a peer reviewer on highly

I am very impressed. Kindly work on some outdated libraries. But overall it's a great course! I would love you to make courses on data visualization and also on time series analysis. Kudos

Good intro to implementing various statistical analyses in R. I would recommend those considering this course that don't have much experience in R to take an intro to R course first. If I hadn't done so myself, I think I would have had more difficulty following. Also, I learned more by typing out the code myself than using the R Scripts provided.

Lectures were progressive in content; Fair balance of materiaL length; Lecturer well-voiced and may in a few cases, have provided further explanations; Expected a bit more of the quizzes given the content (and background) of the sectional materials; Course basically encompassed 1st year statistical concepts in a precise way; Demos were comprehensive pulling from a variety of dataset which one could visualize.

A genuine attempt to share her information, Mrs. Singh has managed to PACK this course with lots of relevant, insightful analysis and numerous packages. I gained a lot personally. A half star reduced though, because the lectures are recorded with a sense of teaching and imparting information... the 'fun' in the voice and delivery would have made it more gripping. I recommend this course to all who have learnt basic R (did a great course on Udemy itself with Kirrill). This course focusses on 'when and why' to use 'which type' of analysis to better see your data rather than 'how to code' I will be referring back to this course each time I am solving a problem :)

Very good course, it provides practical examples on how to apply different statistical analyses. Some concepts are a bit difficult to grasp and some more theory is missing so some reading by yourself is necessary if you want to fully understand them, but overall a good course. Highly recommend it if you have some background in statistics, if not first take some other more basic course and then come to this one.

It is very good course, material is ready to be applied for my job, so I am quite satisfied with the practical applications. Some issues I have with the course was that by the end of the course, section 7 in particular, teacher is speeding up and missing some important explanations both and theoretical and practical. Likewise good interpretation of the regression results. But nevertheless, my overall impression is very good. Very useful course for anyone who want to apply statistical analysis in R and also for those who want to learn how to do statistical analysis on a good level.

lecture 5- a little too basic right now lecture 13- going great! finally got my hands dirty lecture 35- provided with vortex of information. am revising videos again lecture 62- this is a good juncture to sift through some internet pages and learn some theory on the classification techniques.

The course content is comprehensive, very practical and applicable for people working in research, and the tutor is experienced. Most of the aspects discussed are explained well but there were a few instances that I would like to have seen more detail or more examples. One thing that is missing or that I would like to see was exercises at the end of the sections. The tutor always responded and explained all my queries. I would recommend this course to people working in research.

Well structured course with the right mix of statistical theory and implementation in R. All keep aspects of statistical data analysis have been covered in detail and practically, sans the jargon
By Leena Riekkola on 12/7/2017
Seems to have a good broad coverage of topics The lecturer tries to be very clear with the material, but sometimes the lecturer comes across a bit unprepared (sudden pauses in explanation, unsure how to explain something etc) which can make following the material a bit difficult. In cases like this it might be better to re-record some sections and edit the video afterwards
