Exhaustive content to get started with ASP.NET Core. Detail including from setting up development environment in Windows, Mac and Linux to development and deployment. Author has put in tremendous effort to keep updating the course from .NET Core RC1 to RC2 to Core 1.0 As of March 2021, .NET Core is moving from 5.0 to 6.0 and C# version is currently at 9.0. Wish the Author could re-arrange the content with the current versions to stay relavant.

Good match, not updated to latest version, going through a lot, maybe with too much detail. Though a lot more pages, a great walkthrough all of the site and login stuff. I am concerned the guts of this is not possible to reproduce with latest vesrion. Perhaps instructor can provide details on how to upgrade.

This course has a lot of useful content, but I found it to be very disjointed (but to be fair that was to be expected given its title and description). However, what was unexpected was that that it had clearly been created as ASP.NET Core was evolving from pre-release through to v1.0.0. This means that a lot of the video content is spent dealing with migration issues between different versions of ASP.NET Core, rather than focusing on educating the student. This is entirely understandable if the student were taking the course a the time ASP.NET Core was evolving through to v1.0.0 but given we are now at v3.0.0 (as at the time of writing), that content is irrelevant and should be removed. I would also rather see more time spent explaining some of the concepts and connections pictorially (particulary in the TypeScript and Angular sections) than going over outdated material. In summary, this would have been a useful course at the time it was created when ASP.NET Core was evolving to v1.0.0, but that time has now past. It needs updating to reflect the latest and stable versions of ASP.NET Core and Visual Studio.

This was "The" Course I needed. I was looking for something which can upgrade me to the latest versions of ASP.Net application related features and latest trend in the .Net application development. I think I am on right track!

I liked this course. I think just one thing could be changed, would be better if the teacher gets one web ( ASP Net Core ) project from scratch. Could be a minimum project but more complete, the back end and the front end. That way all techniques to both versions ( 5 and 6 ) would be better understanding.

Honestly, the course is outdated, and should no longer be sold. He's working off Visual Studio 2015, which is no longer available for download. Unless you already know the material, you will be unable to follow him as he constructs apps in a framework which will be dissimilar to the one you are using. Honestly, the guy seems like a real ace. He knows what he's talking about, and I wish there was an updated version of this course, because it's clearly high quality. But, it's all pointless if we can't follow. My guess is a majority of people who buy it now drop off pretty quickly and don't finish.

Content needs to be updated for the Asp.Net Core 2.0 Notes added to legacy lectures: - deprecated code refs AddUserSecrets() for AddUserSecrets() - .csproj update (has caused 2+ issues throughout the project) - Bad Url ref for sendGrid Register - Updated Api library Ref for Twilio SMS C# however, these gaps have taught me to debug my own application which is a valuable skill.

The course contains very valuable information, the tutor is good, and the material is very comprehensive, but I have some complaints: 1. It's badly structured, really messy, I was struggling to understand lots of the stuff there because of the way it is organized (for example - explaining really basic c# stuff and then jumping to tasks and async without explaining what it is), found myself searching the web and msdn quite a bit. 2. It's more windows users oriented, so for mac users you'll have to figure out some of the things yourself. 3. Other courses I took explained the materials by working on various interesting and fun projects. Here we're working on one project, but it's not particularly interesting in my opinion, and not particularly helpful. It will be better to work on various small projects instead, I think. 4. Installation and configuration is really agonizing, also didn't understand the need to start off with all of this and connecting to azure and stuff right on the beginning of the course, but it probably have to do with my first complaint about the course structure. I understand the course is still in build, so if it changes I will change my rating.

Particularly considering that the material is based on the latest version of .Net Core, the course is very thorough. The instructor has obviously given much consideration to the needs of the subscribers.

Thanks, your lectures are great, very easy to listen to and they keep my interest up. In the C# lecture I was distracted by just a few simple mistakes that have slipped through. For example, in the lecture on C# Constructors you had the initialisation logic the wrong way around. In the lecture on conditionals you forgot an f++; statement. These are minor concerns in the scheme of things.
