Good course content. However, I did not understand when I purchased the course that it would be (my rough estimate) 85% Mac concentric. Usually the instructor makes no effort to accommodate PC or Lynix users. For example he says to do something that the student should hit . It would just take a second to add "or , for PC users." Besides NOT providing info that any Audacity beginner needs, the mindless, repeated omission is offputting to a fairly sizeable portion of the student base.

This course is super thorough and nicely paced. The instructions were to the point and easy to follow. My only wish would be that there had been slightly more focus on vocal/spoken audio recording and editing versus mainly music. But I do feel more confident with the software!

I do wish it had a video on how to combine 2 audio tracks together - such as a VO with background music, since that seems like a pretty standard use of Audacity.

So far. Instructor's accent makes him hard for me to understand sometimes. I hear "Humph" key, when he meant "Home" key. But I figured it out.

Too fast. I'm just a beginner and it's very difficult to follow Mr. Galvin. I'm also 83 years old and not as technical as the younger people. I thiught this was a tutorial for beginners. Larry Jasan

Great introduction. I went from knowing absolutely nothing about Audacity to feeling like I can actually record, apply some simple edits, and export. A great start to my journey.

This was really great for giving an introduction to basic editing and features on Audacity. All of the tips were really useful and my editing is already better after practicing with the things I learned from this course. Everything was explained very well and clearly!

Excellent for someone from the ground floor. It will help in managing my lady partner's cassette tapes from the 80's. Noisy but she has a very good voice. I need all the help I can get and will look forward to more of your audio courses. Thanks and more power to your teaching projects.

Enjoyable and easy to understand the concepts as they were presented. I had little prior audio knowledge and am now comfortable working with Audacity to do my project. Great introduction.

I bought course to clear up some bad cd sound. So for me, I'd have liked specific 'tweaks' to clear particular impairments to the tracks. Having said that, for the money I paid, I learnt a fair bit - that's why I gave it 4.5 for value.
