Authoring Elegant and Meaningful Agile User Stories (Udemy.com)

This chapter was clear and very practical. It explained the purpose and structure of a good user story (As a / I want / so that) and, most importantly, how to keep stories small, testable, and valuable. The INVEST principles and the story-splitting techniques helped me see how to break down large features into deliverable increments, while the acceptance-criteria section made it easy to translate requirements into concrete test scenarios. Overall, it’s a strong foundation I can apply immediately in Jira for writing better stories and validating them efficiently.

The course is excellent. 1) "Classroom" presentation on the whiteboard is perfection: keeps student focused on each piece of info; e.g., not a busy slide with all the information at once. 2) Content presented well and with relevant examples that support the discussion. 3) Instructor's pace of speaking is well done, aligns with the whiteboard writing, and enables both visual and oral comprehension/reinforcement. 4) Covers all the key points about the topic. A quibble about questions: For some lessons, 40 seconds delay before showing the correct answer is too long. On an occasion or two time expired before the response to the final question was shown. Recommend using 30 seconds or less for a delay without reducing the overall length of each lesson. Personal Opinion: Some additional(?) advantages of using acceptance criteria are: 1) Provides testers with initial information about the users' expectations of the development. The testers can think about their test approach, plan, and procedures early in the project. 2) Helps with defining requirements for the development. For example, could disclose potential groupings of requirements, a need for sub-requirements, or identify missing requirements. Okay. I'm done. Really enjoyed the course. I'll look for more from you.

The course was fine. -1 star for the music, however. It's a bit loud. But my gripe is the irritating repetition of a 5-second jingle not suitable for repetition. The feel of it is conclusionary, like when a game show contestant runs out of time. It is like the hold music on the hotline to hell. It scars the soul. A little.

Do not recommend at all. It was basic information provided which is not bad, it may be useful for a beginner, however it was impossible to go through the course and I just dropped at lesson 3 due to multiple reasons: 1. The music - it is so annoying and present everywhere that you can not think 2. The handwriting element is so disturbing that you just can not engage to what is being said and what is being written, that is so unneccessary 3. Quiz - with the music included - too time wasting. It does not allow you to select and submit, instead you need to wait those 40 sec for the correct answer to be shown (or fast forward) 4. So much text in the slides - why it can not be shown key info and then the presenter talks about it more.

It was beyond my expectations. All this information has been extremely valuable. I found the course content clear and easy to assimilate. I has been able to start writing user stories as fast as I complete the firsts sections. Since what is taught is highly practical, you can put your new skills to use immediately.

Good course on gaining a fundamental understanding on user stories, especially for the first time learners/junior BAs/POs. Would have been more interesting if the Q&As at the end of every video, was consolidated as a quiz at the end... Nevertheless, this is a good one and recommended for people who have no idea on user stories and how to build them properly... Also thanks for providing examples of poorly written user stories, which is the USP of this course...

Good for beginners

this course will be good for our BAs that are relatively new to the agile BA role. it gives a good grounding, focusing on the fundamentals, without complicating the content with the complexities that arise in normal software delivery.

I really enjoyed the layout of this course. The simple way, the complex topics were explained both verbally and visually made retention much easier. This course is ideal for "agile newbies" or just anyone wanting to write more valuable user stories

Need more concepts for different types of user stories.
