Course Description
Welcome to updated version of the Amazon Web Service’s Identity and Access Management course with focus on practical application to solve real word problems. The goal of this course is to give you hands on knowledge to use on your AWS project. By the end of this course, you will have skills to know how to build solutions using IAM and more importantly why you should apply certain design patterns to solve your problems.
The course is designed to start with the basic IAM building blocks that build upon one another towards more advanced concepts. There are a lot of demonstrations with quizzes and exercises to help you learn by doing. The major topics include IAM User, Group, Policy, Roles, AWS Organization Service, IAM Identity Center and more. This course includes a lot of demonstrations on how to apply these features in the real world use cases such as tag based policy, cross account roles, federated access and much more.
This course is intended for a technical audience with some familiarity with AWS. Ideal learners are software engineers, solution architects and anyone who is building solutions in AWS. There is no prerequisite other than your curiosity and willingness to learn.

I graduated with a mechanical engineering degree and started my career as a programmer 30 years ago. I built enterprise solutions for large organizations in the financial, retail and government sectors applying technology to solve real world problems. I’m a lifelong learner and curious to explore new technology. I’m grateful for all those who helped me in my career and want to pay forward to help others. I enjoy hiking, biking and exploring national parks.

I am grateful, I came across this video, his understanding on AWS IAM is top notched. I was able to move from knowing little to a bit well grounded in the use of the IAM service.

Great course! Instructor did a great job, supplemented descriptions with animations, and did a wonderful job explaining things. The course is getting a little old and it'd be great to see either a new one, or a chapter or two on the end covering what's changed.

This is a really good course. It is very focused!!! If you follow along with the demonstration and/or do the exercises you will have a very good grasp on IAM features (users, groups, roles, policies, cross account access, etc).

This course is really good because the instructor took the time to add annotations, highlights, arrows, circles etc. on the images as he explains. I wish I could see this more often in courses.

The author has put a lot of effort in explaining the concepts of IAM Users, Groups, Roles and Policies. I would highly recommend if you are a developer and would like to build Infrastructure as Code with ease. A good practical demonstration on creating and assuming Roles.

IAM is fundamental to AWS. If you've never used IAM, created policies or need a better understanding on how they fit together to apply security to your accounts, this is a very good starter course. Brian covers a lot of things in IAM that I've just never taken or had the time to go through myself. I especially liked the sections on cross account access as we use a lot of this but I've never really understood how it works.

- The course is fantastic. Really happy that I enrolled to this course. - This is the way IAM has to be explained. Huge positives are the diagrams and demonstration of various use-cases. No other course i have taken explained with such clarity. - You teaching style is great and perfect. I wish to have more courses from you.
