Our take
Based on the ratings of 11,416 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in September 2025. No course pays to be reviewed.
Alan Rodrigues built this course around the Microsoft Azure architect exam objectives. The description says it first covered AZ-300 and was later widened to take in AZ-303. It runs 27.5 hours across 319 lectures, and nearly half of that sits in one section on implementing and monitoring infrastructure: 144 lectures on virtual machines, networking, storage and similar topics. The listed requirements assume prior Azure knowledge plus basics of web apps, databases and networking, so this is not a first look at the cloud. About 70,700 students have enrolled.
Reviewers mostly praise the teaching. They call Alan a great teacher who explains each service in detail, and several say they passed AZ-303 after working through it. Some then cleared AZ-304 with his material too. One solution architect said the networking, virtual machines and Azure AD sections taught real depth. Of 11,416 ratings, 6,433 are five stars and only 161 are one or two stars. The sharpest criticism comes from a three-star reviewer: the labs follow the easy path, some exam topics are missing, and resource names like demouser and demovm get sloppy. One other reviewer wanted fuller answers in the practice set.
The last update was September 2025, so the content has been maintained. Still, the description and reviews are built around AZ-300 and AZ-303, so check the current exam code and skills outline against the syllabus before you buy. It is a paid course with a lot of video for the money. Treat it as the main learning track and add separate practice exams and your own lab time. For people who learn by watching a thorough walkthrough, it looks like a safe pick.
Pros
- Reviewers say Alan Rodrigues explains each Azure service in real depth
- 144 lectures on infrastructure cover virtual machines, networking and storage
- Several reviewers passed AZ-303, and some AZ-304, using his material
- Last updated September 2025, with 20 articles and two practice tests included
Cons
- A three-star reviewer says the course alone will not pass the exam
- Labs use generic names like demouser and demovm and stick to the easy path
- Practice answers lack detail, and quizzes only come at the end of sections
Excellent course and well recommended for an in-depth knowledge about most of the core concepts of AZ 303. I just cleared this exam earlier today without much issues.
Listed as All Levels, but it expects prior Azure knowledge and basic networking and database concepts.

I learned a lot from this training. The tutor is interactive and covered the topics in depth on each Azure Service. I got the confidence that I can able to good score in the exam. I'm a Solution Architect where I built many applications from the scratch but from this training that I learned in-depth of networking and virtual machines, hyper-visor, Azure AD and databases. Thank you.

Quiz sections could have been more even between each section rather than just having at the end of each section.

In the whole Udemy this is the best course by far. Its very informative and ready to work materials. I gave exam yesterday and passed it. There are exam questions from every sentence what Alan says which you might not see in practice test. So please pay attention. Most difficult part was Scenario based question which came as the last section for me. Last but not the least Thanks a lot Alan. I am now ready for 304.

Impossible to me a better rating. It's true there are a lot of labs that help you to understand a lot of dark concepts. On the other side, first, only with this course you are not going to pass the exam, not every concept from the exam appears in the course and the labs always cover the easy path and the questions in the exam are all except easy paths. One thing makes me nervous is the absolute lack of professionalism when naming resources, all of them are demouser, demovm, demonetwork, publicip1, publicip2, user1, user2, groupA, groupB...when you have setup hundreds of labs with hundreds of resources and he uses always the same names for everything, you don't know what he's refering to, or when there is a lab with a lot of resources you waste a lot of time trying to remember what name is associated to each resource, it's crazy. As an example a lab with 3 vms and 3 subnets, vm1 belongs to subnetC, vm2 belongs to subnetA, appart from names, neither it follows any logic. To make things more complicate, his accent, is, well, sometimes completely unintelligible, sometimes I have to repeat the same video four, five times or more to try understand what he is talking about, the traslator doesn't help, it's a joke the traslations it provides but of course, it's not a translator fault.

Thank you Alan, I passed both the AZ-303 and AZ-304 with the help of your courses. Highly recommend this course for anyone pursuing the Architect Expert Cert. Alan's teaching method is excellent. Both theory and labs ensure the concepts stay in memory. A lot of the questions in Alan's practice exams appeared on the real one. Now to the AZ-400 DevOps exam, and of course will use Alan's course. Great Job Alan.

This course is very relevant for those wanting to attempt AZ-303. Topics are explained very nicely with emphasis to fundamentals as well. I am retaining 1 star since there is no option to search a topic in the list in case we need to revisit it later.

Good Instruction.

Each element within is covered
- beginning with an explanation
- followed by talking thru a logical diagram
- followed by a walk-thru example
