Course Description

This is a free course which gives you my top tips for using Microsoft Word.

You will find out about how to quickly and consistently format paragraphs, including how to use styles. With styles, you can set up a font, font size, paragraph spacing, and so on, and then be confident that all future paragraphs that use that style will have exactly the same. You can then adjust the style, and all paragraphs which use that style will change.

We'll have a look at the different types of numbering, so you don't have to insert the numbers yourself - useful, if you want to insert a number in the middle of your paragraphs.

We will also see how to customise your Word environment, putting the things you use most at your fingertips. This is done by customising menus and the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT).

We will have a look at else you can learn in Microsoft Word, and how you can learn it.

You should have Microsoft Word already installed on your computer - either 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 or 365.

Once you have finished the course, you will know some top tips for your Microsoft Word documents, and be eager in learning more.

I took this course during my lunch break at the office, as I quickly understood that my efficiency in Word was lacking. The course, especially for the price, was very good as a launch point. Like the instructor said "sometimes we don't know what we don't know" (paraphrased). In this case, though I've used Word for 20 years, I haven't kept up on the changes and have decided to continue on with certification to ensure that I can at least get 80% capability of the program. Thank you Phillip and I will be signing up for more classes.

This was very informative about what there is to learn on Microsoft Word. Phillip was very easy to understand and gave just the right amount of foreshadowing into what else there is to learn.

It's the wonderful information and important knowledge being shared and taught through this course. This small course has made me eager to join the advanced one. Amazing style of explaining and covering the topics. Thanks for this course.

Instructor goes far too fast. It would be much better if a few topics were covered slowly and in depth. Knowing a subject does not often translate to being able to teach the subject well. Many "experts" are guilty of this. The video product is not bad, the audio clear and it is offered for free, which is appreciated.

Nowadays is important to have a good impression, because the globalization makes the world more competitive. The complete package of Microsoft is a universal tool that helps you to give the best presentations to any stakeholder in your life. The most I liked the course was that he informed us about the exams that the company take to have a certification.

This free course is more than just a basic introduction. I learned a few things that I did not know. The instructor thoroughly explained what he was showing. I like that he finished by offering his other courses and offered specific links for Microsoft testing requirements. Two thumbs up.

This is a good introductory course to a few of Word's endless features. At the end Phillip also tells you where you can learn more from some of his other more advanced Word courses on Udemy.

It would have been nice to show what the trick was at the first part of the first video that brought up the random words in the document. Instead I had to go back over and over and over to figure out what exactly he did.
