More practical examples along with the visualization of how map reducer works can be given. As a student i will be looking for more interesting this of how will this actually happen. Real world examples and giving some questions to solve for the students is a good option too. It would be great if different coding examples . Sample codes and different data and getting that data into the cluster. And knowing where the cluster is very important. I wish you would add this. Thank you . Its a great video

Really good introduction to Hadoop Framework. Unfortunately it doesn't deal with Spark which is now needed to achieve the Cloudera CCDH certification. Nevertheless, you'll learn fundamentals but also interesting details about the Hadoop architecture and MapReduce paradigm such as Secondary Sorting and Serialization.

The content is wonderful, and the instructor is great. Some of the questions in the exams and quizzes are poorly worded as to be ambiguous, which was frustrating. Also, the English is a little off in the questions, which I would have guessed should have been caught and fixed prior to releasing the questions. Overall though, a really good course.

Last sunday, I have taken CCDH 410 certification and have passed it with flying colors. Thank You very much. I found the course content was crisp and informative. The production quality is good and most importantly the instructor had maintained the decorum throughout the course. It's a self paced learning.

I cleared CCDH-410 , last week. thanks to your tutorial, I learnt setting up of hadoop with your course, I watched so many tutorials before this, but none match to your quality of teaching. After watching this course I got immense confidence on taking up the certification, otherwise certification would have remained as a dream. coming up from testing background and clearing the hadoop developer certification happened only with your course.keep it up! worth the money...

This course was a good one two years ago. But there was absolutely no updates for a long long time. This course is not sufficient for Hadoop certification exam now. So the name itself is misleading. The CDH exam is divided into Infrastructure: Hadoop components that are outside the concerns of a particular Map Reduce job that a developer needs to master (25%) Data Management: Developing, implementing, and executing commands to properly manage the full data lifecycle of a Hadoop job (30%) Job Mechanics: The processes and commands for job control and execution with an emphasis on the process rather than the data (25%) Querying: Extracting information from data (20%) This course is good to understand the Map Reduce part of it. Apart from that the tutor will not be helping you and there will be no reply from him for any queries what so ever.But being said that if you want to understand the basics of Hadoop, this is a good course. It is well organized and simple to understand. I am giving one star because of misleading title, no response from the tutor, lack of topics, lack of updates and the price. The word “Certification “is misleading):-. As I said before this course is an introduction to Hadoop and Map Reduce programming. The instructor has very good knowledge and the presentations and the review question are very helpful. But the problem is most of the work in Hadoop is done using Pig and Hive now. This course is good for understanding Map Reduce programming part only. But the price has come down to 99 from 199. So I am giving it three stars instead of one star.If you want a solid understanding of basics then you should go for this course.Once the course is updated, I will update my review again.

I just took the CCD-410 exam yesterday and I failed to pass - got 69 of 70 required for passing. This review is not intended to blast this course at all but there are some missing lessons that will be covered by the CCD-410. Test is broken down into 4 sections: Infrastructure, Data management, Mechanics, Querying. I achieved respective scores of 100%, 80%, 56%, 33%. I fell down on the Mechanics and Querying sections. I suggest that students supplement their study of Hive and Scoop (especially) and be able to create tables and understand the syntax to load them with data. Also most of the Java MapReduce programs you will need to analyze (in great detail BTW) have multiple file input. It threw me off. One question dealt with input file naming conventions with non-standard prefix characters such as (._#). Another suggestion for students is to spend the $125 and get the Cloudera practice exam for this test. I was surprised how much Java code was in the exam. Please study the various Job methods as you may be asked some obscure questions, including how to stop a job. I will be prepared next time especially the Querying section.

The course is very well suited to help in preparation for doing some one's Hadoop Certification. There's is a vast amount of expertise compressed in 50 lectures with relevant quizzes to make sure you understood the material. Frankly a huge amount of typos was disturbing. And some single questions had either very ambiguous answers or differed from Apache's description. In general this course is a very good preparation even though there are some weak spots.

I enjoyed the course from the very first video. The contents guide you from a very basic approach of Hadoop MapReduce understanding to a master level in just a few lessons. I found all tests very helpful to apply in the Hadoop developer certification, and as back up for interview questions. This course is a must have for Data Scientists.

Course explanation and simulation is awesome. Questions after every lesson , increase the confident level and push to learn more. I have cleared CCD-410 certification today, 100% credit goes to Nitesh for his cleared, systematic way of explaining each topic. Any body can clear certification with this course .
