Clear speaker, definitely knowledgeable. Overall pretty useful. As with pretty much all technical trainers, at times he jumps too quickly into "demo mode" as a substitute for clear explanation of complex concepts, however. Also, the order of presentation is a little wonky - maybe just following the exam syllabus? For example, VPC section is second to last, but referenced many times prior. Cart ahead of the horse in my opinion.

Rick is the best information provider on AWS cloud knowledge transfer. He is straight to the point and what / how he explains stays with me. The other instructors are great but their explanation extremely long and I lose interest and might miss a crucial point. So my point? I do t need to have a 180 hr long class to justify my costs, I”d rather learn in a short period, and spend more me time .once I finalize my AWS associate exam, ii will try to find more of Rick”s current teachings on the web.

Labs are quite educational, providing hands-on experience. Quizlets help you assess your learning as well as teach you about the topics that are likely to be in the certification test. Labs are somewhat outdated but not a major issue. Biggest problem so far is with Section 8 Labs. Load Balancing Lab instructed us to remove the ELB and Target group but those were needed in the next AutoScaling lab.

Course is good as a refresher course for someone who has already taken an in-depth course before and definitely not for first timers. It is unfortunate that focus is not given on AWS format quizzes and one provided on their website is not good enough. Should also focus on all concepts for a given AWS resource which is much needed in exams which i see is missing here. So only good as a top level refresher course.

The course is very well presented, I can watch this video all day long. I learned a lot and really have fun. The instructor talk nicely and explain all session clearly. This course is 5 star for me.

Course is an excellent source to prepare for the original Associate certification. It's a little out-of-date but the exam will expire in August so updates should/will be focused on the new knowledge requirements (framework).

Really good information. This is a course more suited for someone experienced in IT. There are some lab instructions that need to be cleaned up, especially in the VPC section. A new person could get confused and not be able to figure out what they need to do to succeed with the lab. I do really like this instructor and highly recommend this course to IT professionals wanting to learn a new skill.

I am able to follow at my own pace, and it is very easy to understand and follow along with the labs provided. Labs are really good and gives me a chance to practically test and confirm my understanding. Quizlets provided are also good to know the terminology and the topics learned so far.

Excellent experience overall! Rick is very knowledgeable, responsive, friendly, well prepared, and articulate. He provides a fantastic outline of topics, terms, labs, and additional resources to teach the material. I believe this is one of the few courses that can assist anyone at any level to jump in and find value within a very short time frame. Aside from a few missing details in some labs, and room for collating some valuable information pertinent to exam preparation, I think Rick's course meets its goals towards quickly and efficiently teaching an individual interested in learning more about AWS as well as looking to prepare for the certification exam.

Decent Pace for those who are learning the basics. I took the CSAA exam and passed at the 1st attempt last week. Thanks Rick for your videos and exercises/demos. It helped. Apart from doing labs multiple times, going thru all the white papers and FAQs was good for me as many questions were from those.
