The presenter took so much care to engage, cover the topics in interesting yet practical way to make the audiance/students appreciate the depth of mysql in a simple yet effective practical scenarios/examples. I loved the course and look forward to more learnings. one of the best presentors, i have really learned the subjects with no pressure/confusion/gaps. Thank you very much for the course.

This is a very good learning course as it shows all the details of MySQL as a complete RDMS. I have taken another 28 hours of course but that was nothing like this one. It only focused on basic DBA knowledge and development side rather than what an actual MySQL DBA does. I have one suggestion/request, please keep this course alive so that we can go back to it as we need to review again parts of it. If you come up with a newer version of this course, please keep it with the same learning subjects and materials as they are most useful. Big thanks to everyone who made this course available especially the instructor Abid Malik. Regards.

One of the best courses I took in udemy. It really gave my good amount of knowledge when it comes to MySQL. Our team works with a lot of clients whose infra is running on MySQL both on EC2 and RDS, having knowledge of MySQL Administration was absolutely necessary for, and this course really came as a savior. I can now say that I enough of MySQL that I can do my work confidently. Kudos to Abid for creating such a great course. I will keep coming back to this whenever I am confused with some concepts or just really want to revise stuff.

A very comprehensive course that covers most key areas. I appreciate that the instructor doesn't hide mistakes but corrects them live during the class—it makes the learning experience more authentic and relatable. It's clear how much effort has been put into the course. I would love to learn more about Point-in-Time Recovery, best practises for tablespace management and performance tuning, explaining with examples and resolutions. Also if you could explain how to raise a case with support.

This course didn’t just teach me MySQL it empowered me with the confidence, hands-on experience, and real-world knowledge needed to step confidently into a MySQL DBA role at an MNC. I'm incredibly grateful to Abid Malik for designing such a comprehensive, practical, and career-focused learning journey. His course bridges the gap between theory and the real demands of the industry. Highly recommended to anyone who’s serious about becoming a successful MySQL DBA.

The major concepts of MySQL aren't covered clearly. What is the purpose of Change Buffer, why the data from Change Buffer is written to the system tablespace, what is stored in the latest version of MySql in system tablespace, what is the difference between variables and options and why we need both? For backup of VLDB do we need to archive redolog files ?Also, the first part of the course is very slow. The sections related to installation, docker, migration to cloud, upgrade , backup/recovery and replication are actually very good. I would recommend to improve Innodb section. Possibly, add the example how the transaction is executed in MySQL in details in respect to all memory structures and files.

Its fine. I need to learn this stuff. I am using el9 and he's using el7 so there have been some hurdles I've had to overcome but I'm getting through it. Mostly struggling with the speed. The course is taking a LONG time for me because I need to listen to what he says, then pause so that I can emulate his work, then unpause, sometimes rewind and rewatch if I want to absorb some things. I just need more time and experience with mysql but I wish the presenter would just slow down and give us a second to breath and confirm and verify things. He'll switch from the mysql prompt back to the linux prompt and not say anything about it sometimes which causes a pause and rewind and relisten.
