Create a Netflix clone from Scratch: JavaScript PHP + MySQL (Udemy.com)

I definitely liked the course. It was pretty neat to build out the basic operations of a subscription application. I struggle with PHP Class functions at this point of my career goals. I understand them, but I get easily stuck. This course helped provide an overview with 90% of it being built with class functions, so luckily I know enough php at this level, to get lost in and recover in shorter time haha. As the instructor stated definitely need to understand or have messed around with PHP, before attempting course. Although I learned a couple things from this course. I still have a ways to go with jumping the hurdle of php class functions. I am currently concepting a small php project, that will allow me to use class functions that I constuct myself for more trial and error. Will be there one day. Thanks again for the course. Will look around to see if you have more.

I've wanted to take my php coding to the next level. I believe Reece knows a lot about php programming, developing, and coding. Reece, for me, you were quite fast to follow. I had to pause the videos, watch parts again, and correct my typing a whole bunch. That being said, sticking with it (after putting it down for a while), I felt like I got the most out of your course and my time, money, & value spent following along. I still have much to learn. I am thankful for you taking your time to make this course. It has been a unique and enjoyable experience. Course was awesome and gave great details on how to create the web app. Would liked to have more content regarding making it deployable or maybe a few videos on how to make it portable to other computers where you could play this on say a tv or something. Other than that, this course taught me so much thank you for the content!

right pace for someone who has seen php, sql, css, html, oo-programming etc. before, but not expert in all, shows how it all fits together with a practical example. Far from complete, like the password hashing could use the php password functions, but that will require a unique user id or email. Also paypal sdk has moved on to version 2 but the intro to version 1 given here gives some confidence at upgrading to that. Also I went back to using font awesome 4 that can be used from an open cdn without a "free" user account. Still definitely recommended for someone wanting to understand what they will still need to deeper learn/investigate in developing a web application. this my n'th update to review as I don't think I credited the nice subtleties Reece covered in this course, like the logo style designer, nice, the separation of classes IMO a bit too separated, but good style of class division and style of OO design, which in my opinion is very easy to over complicate. Like the other extent of python allowing variables to be class global defined at any point in any class function is other end of extreme. And his style is fast presentation, only needed 1.25x speed.

This course covered the intended scope of creating a media playing website similar to netflix using php myadmin and other web dev tools. The instructor is knowledgeable at the subject matter. The only minor improvement i would recommend is to plan out the general flow of the course to correct some of the errors that we had to revisit. in addition, the explanations and examples were sometimes covered really quickly and required a few re-watches. Over all, it was worth the investment and I highly recommend this course to those interested in the field.

Great Course by one of the best Instructors here! You can always learn quite a lot from a very knowledgable Professional. I really like the "OOP-Approach" and explanations are right on the money! You definitely need some basic knowledge in OOP-PHP and general knowledge in PHP is recommended for this course! This course is worth every single Dollar, Euro or whatever.. I hope some more courses are coming up soon from Reece.. would deffo buy them! :)
