Beginning Screenwriting made EASY - Screenwriting Course (Udemy.com)

This course lays out a solid foundation from a technical standpoint on how to develop a story idea and turn it into a screenplay. It's not comprehensive in that regard, nor should it be. There is so much more to learn. It's a never-ending process which is part of the allure, and the instructor provides valuable resources that I've already dipped into and utilized to further my knowledge and cultivate my skills. As a self-published novelist, I understand the mental blocks associated with starting at a blank page, whether it's filled with prose or a script. And this is where this course shines like the brightest star in the sky. From a psychology standpoint, this course and the honest opinions from the instructor make me excited and committed to embarking (and continuing) on this new journey. It's a quick-hitting, action-packed, informative, and enjoyable course filled with digestible and actionable tips/resources in a witty and engaging manner. I honestly can't wait to get started and look forward to taking more courses from this trusted instructor.

This was the first course I've ever taken about screenwriting and it was perfect! The instructors pace and level of information was a perfect balance of abundance, but not overwhelming. A ton of contextual examples included was great, too. Most of all, she always encourages you to take control of your screenwriting journey and empowers you to write what you're passionate about. Overall, can't recommend this course enough.

Great Course. Word Dancer has taken a rather difficult subject, and simplified it. I like the way she broke down each part of the process and provided us with examples. I also appreciate her ( do’s & don’t’s ) throughout the whole course. Being an actual screenwriter herself, Word Dance’s real world experience is more than invaluable! I realize that this is a glimpse into the world of screenwriting, and will take look at her other courses.

I’ve always admired this woman and how enthusiastic she is. She speaks in a way that’s easy to understand and is just an overall joy to watch. And the course was a pretty good primer for screenwriting. But more than anything the instructor knew how to keep it interesting while being encouraging at the same time. Also some of the topics she explained seem like inside information that’s not typically discussed. Great course and awesome instructor with good energy.

I love this course. It's presented so clearly that I learn a lot. Before this, I had been jumping from one source to another until someone suggested finding an online course at Udemy. Above all, I love the presenter. Aside from the learning, the way she projects the lessons, and the way she arranges everything, she motivates me on taking away my fears. There are more to these actually, but words aren't just enough.

Finding where to start feels like the biggest battle. So, having all of the links and screenplays listed here makes getting started so much easier!
