The Best AWS Courses on Udemy in 2026
As featured on Harvard EDU, Stackify and Inc, CourseDuck rates the best courses, tutorials, providers and certifications from student reviews, public mentions, recommendations and polling Stack Overflow members. How we rank

This list is for anyone getting into Amazon Web Services: beginners who want to understand the cloud, people preparing for an AWS certification, and developers and engineers who already use AWS and want to go further. Our catalogue lists 343 live Udemy courses with AWS or Amazon Web Services in the title. These ten are the ones we would buy for each goal. They have nearly 950,000 student reviews between them, every one is rated 4.4 or higher, and all ten were updated in 2026.

Every rating, review count, length and last-update date on this page comes from our catalogue and is refreshed with it. The pros and cons are written by CourseDuck’s editors from the course syllabus and a sample of the written student reviews, and checked against both; no course pays to be on this list. Udemy prices move with its sales, so treat the price on each card as the current one, not a fixed one. AWS exam fees are paid to AWS and are not part of any course price.

How to pick

  • You are new to the cloud: Introduction to Cloud Computing on AWS for Beginners, or Introduction to AWS if you want it in under six hours.
  • You already work in IT: AWS Cloud Technical Essentials, made by AWS.
  • You want your first AWS certificate: Ultimate AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, then the 6 Practice Exams.
  • You design systems: Ultimate AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, with Jon Bonso’s practice exams.
  • You write code: Ultimate AWS Certified Developer Associate.
  • You work with AI: Ultimate AWS Certified AI Practitioner.
  • You want to build infrastructure from templates: AWS CloudFormation Master Class.

Start here: AWS basics

1. Introduction to Cloud Computing on AWS for Beginners [2026]

Neal Davis of Digital Cloud Training gives a broad, gentle introduction: about 9.8 hours over 97 lectures, from access control and EC2 through VPC, storage, databases, CloudFormation, containers and Lambda, with a short machine learning section. Reviewers keep praising the colored diagrams and animations and his unhurried voice. It was updated in September 2026 and has about 40,100 reviews at 4.5. There are no quizzes or practice tests, a few reviewers found some sections fast, and the labs are simple, so treat it as a first map of AWS before a certification course.

Pros

  • Colored diagrams and animations make hard ideas easier to picture
  • Clear, unhurried delivery that reviewers describe as easy to follow
  • Covers access control, VPC, databases, CloudFormation and Lambda in under 10 hours
  • Updated in September 2026, and reviewers say lessons still matched the console

Cons

  • Some sections move fast, like the role assignment and STS switch, and skip the why
  • Labs are simple and real-world use cases for each service are thin
  • No quizzes or practice tests, and Docker and Cognito get light coverage

Harshita Pemmasani

Some complex concepts that were hard to understand watching other videos were very simplified and explained using simple terms and easy to envision language.

Bhavna Gargate

It's a great course for beginners to understand the concept of cloud computing and the services provided by AWS. The hands on labs were very helpful. Thank you!

2. Introduction to AWS - Understand AWS basics in 5 hours!

Rick Crisci’s course is a short survey of the core services: about 5.8 hours over 53 short lectures with 21 quizzes, from account sign-up and the Free Tier through S3, EC2, IAM, VPCs, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch and ECS, plus a brief look at Bedrock. Reviewers like the plain analogies, which non-technical viewers say they follow easily. It was updated in June 2026 and has about 21,500 reviews at 4.6. Hands-on work is light, mostly creating an S3 bucket and an EC2 instance, so it suits non-engineers and anyone who wants the big picture before choosing a path.

Pros

  • Short lessons with plain analogies that non-technical viewers say they follow easily
  • Covers a wide spread of services, from S3 and EC2 to IAM, Lambda, ECS and Bedrock
  • Holds up at 1.5x or 2x speed, so the 5.8 hours can shrink for busy people
  • Updated in June 2026, with 21 quizzes and downloadable PDF study guides

Cons

  • Hands-on practice is thin, mostly creating an S3 bucket and an EC2 instance
  • Breadth over depth, so one reviewer wanted more practical detail in the videos
  • One reviewer found it too long to fit around work, and it nudges toward the author’s exam courses

It didn't knew about AWS before but has a good understanding now. Role plays feature in this course is an excellent addition that helps you iterate what you have learned.

Axay Bhakta

I enjoyed starting my journey into AWS with your course. The analogies used by you were basic and I believe that they can be understood by anyone. Thank you for the Intro.

3. AWS Cloud Technical Essentials

This one is made by Amazon Web Services itself: about 7 hours over 84 lectures and 16 quizzes on IAM and security, compute, networking, storage, databases, monitoring and optimization, ending with a module on generative AI services. It was updated in April 2026 and has about 35,600 reviews at 4.4. Reviewers call it short and clear and like the demos. It assumes a basic grasp of IT, storage, databases and networking, and a repeated complaint is that the transcripts are full of errors and some terms go unexplained. Pick it if you already work in IT and want AWS’s own take on the basics.

Pros

  • Short at about 7 hours, with lectures reviewers call clear and digestible
  • Official AWS content, last updated April 2026, with a generative AI services module
  • Demos help concepts stick, say reviewers who started with little cloud knowledge
  • Covers IAM, EC2, VPC, S3, EBS, RDS, DynamoDB and CloudWatch in one pass

Cons

  • Transcripts have many errors in terms and service names, a repeated complaint
  • Assumes networking and IT basics, and some terms go unexplained
  • Only 16 quizzes and no coding exercises, and some speakers are hard to understand

Eliyahu Shvalb

The course brings the necessary core concepts about the AWS ecosystem and may help broaden the overall knowledge of cloud-native software architecture. During this course, I encountered several concepts I was not previously familiar with, and there was no explanation for them inside the course, so I had to resort to external resources.

Diagnal Technologies

Overall the course is good and covers diverse areas. A specific comment at this point is that chapters 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 are repetition of chapter 16. The course is good and recommendable. Great course to get a good grasp on AWS basics. Totally recommendable for people who needs to get a clear understanding on AWS basics and principles

Your first certificate: Cloud Practitioner

4. [NEW] Ultimate AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner CLF-C02 2026

The Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02) is AWS’s entry-level certification, and Stephane Maarek’s course is the most-reviewed Cloud Practitioner course in our catalogue: about 295,200 reviews at 4.7 and roughly 1.4 million students. It runs about 14.6 hours over 282 lectures, with 21 quizzes, one full practice exam and hands-on demos in the AWS Free Tier, and it asks for no IT background. It was updated in September 2026. Reviewers say he flags what the exam actually tests, and several report passing with it as their main material. Some demos still show an older console, and after the intro it is voice over slides.

Pros

  • Maarek explains each service simply and flags what the exam actually tests, reviewers say
  • Hands-on demos in the AWS Free Tier plus section quizzes and a full practice exam
  • Updated in September 2026, with 32 caption tracks and all 300+ slides as a PDF download
  • Roughly 200,000 five-star reviews, and reviewers report passing the exam with it as their main material

Cons

  • Some hands-on videos still show an older AWS console, so demos can be hard to follow
  • Instructor is voice-over-slides only after the intro; one reviewer found it sleepy
  • Only one practice exam included; one reviewer leaned on a separate six-test pack to pass

Audrey Esteban Agüero Fonseca

The way the teacher explains is awesome and easy to follow. The course is of great quality. The only suggestion I would give is to update some videos to the newer versions of AWS' UI, so that it gets easier to follow the hands-on practice. Thank you for the course!

Haider Ali

Excellent course! The explanations are clear, well-structured, and focused on the exam objectives. It gave me the confidence to pass the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam on my first attempt. Highly recommended for anyone preparing for the certification. Thank you

5. 6 Practice Exams | AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner CLF-C02

Maarek’s companion set has six practice exams and 390 questions, with explanations of why each wrong answer is wrong. Many reviewers say the questions run harder than the real exam, and one says scoring above 70 percent here was enough to pass. It was updated in August 2026 and has about 39,600 reviews at 4.5. Some find the questions wordy or full of edge cases outside the official exam guide, and one says questions repeat across tests. There are no lessons, so take it after a course, not instead of one.

Pros

  • Explanations cover both right and wrong answers, which reviewers say cemented key concepts
  • Reviewers call the questions harder than the real exam
  • Six full tests and 390 questions, last updated in August 2026 for CLF-C02
  • Many reviewers report passing the real exam after using these tests

Cons

  • Some reviewers find questions wordy, tricky or outside the official exam guide
  • One reviewer says questions repeat across tests and the main course
  • One reviewer wants more AI service questions, and two report test-mode bugs

Tatyana Tsoy

The practice tests were so useful for me. I took them all after watching the video course and it gave me an idea how the exam is going to look like. It also showed me where I need to study more and what exactly to study. Each test has explanations and different modes so I really recommend taking the course with these practice tests. Thank you!

Erashree U Peddipathy

It was a very good learning form the Practice questions. I have read reason for every correct and wrong answer and understood the concept. I have cleared my exam today, after taking this practice questions and the course I felt exam easy. Thank you. Associate certificates: Solutions Architect and Developer

6. Ultimate AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate 2026

The Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03) is the natural next step, and Maarek’s course for it is the most-reviewed AWS course in our catalogue: about 297,500 reviews at 4.7 and 1.34 million students. It runs about 27.2 hours over 397 lectures, ordered from IAM and EC2 through VPC networking, with 29 quizzes and one practice exam, and it assumes basic IT knowledge but no AWS experience. It was updated in September 2026, and all 800-plus slides come as a PDF. Recent reviewers report passing with it plus practice exams. A three-star reviewer found it thin on when to choose one of several similar services, and one practice exam is not enough on its own.

Pros

  • 27 hours across 397 lectures, ordered as a progression from IAM and EC2 to VPC rather than a service list
  • Refreshed in September 2026
  • Recent reviewers report passing with this course plus practice exams, some with no other study
  • All 800+ slides come as a downloadable PDF, handy for revision in the last week before the exam

Cons

  • A three-star reviewer found it thin on why similar services exist and when to pick one over another
  • Only one full practice exam is included; several passing reviewers used extra tests
  • One reviewer says chapter quizzes don’t line up well with the lecture content

Used this course along with Stephane and John Dojo practice tests which i treated like a full time job due to never touching AWS before. After 3 and half months I passed the SAA-C03 exam on the 13th of August 2026. The exam was harder in my eyes but the information provided by the combination I used was invaluable.

Hamza Mahmood

Thanks Stephane! First, he helped me pass the Cloud Practitioner exam in less than a month with 967, then this course helped me pass the Solutions Architect - Associate exam with 911 WITHOUT ANY PRIOR AWS KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE. Amazing teacher, gives you just enough to pass the exam without leaving out important details.

7. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Practice Exams

Jon Bonso’s six SAA-C03 practice exams from Tutorials Dojo have no lessons, only 390 questions, each followed by a written explanation and links to the AWS documentation. Several reviewers post real exam scores between 781 and 845, and a few pair it with Maarek’s course. It was updated in September 2026 and has about 29,900 reviews at 4.6. Some call the questions harder than the real exam, others say the real questions are longer, and a few met newer topics on the exam that no question covered.

Pros

  • Every answer has a written rationale and AWS doc links, so wrong guesses turn into learning
  • Six full sets, and reviewers who passed report scores in the 70s and 80s here
  • Retake the exams on phone or laptop, unlike the one-attempt AWS sample exam
  • Listed as last updated in September 2026 for the SAA-C03 exam version

Cons

  • Several reviewers say the questions run harder than the real exam
  • A few say newer AWS topics showed up on their exam that no question covered
  • No lessons at all, so it assumes the material has already been learned

I used Tutorial Dojo practice exams to prepare for the AWS SAA exam, and I honestly found them more difficult than the actual exam. However, that challenge really helped me identify my weak areas and improve my understanding of AWS services. Thanks to these practice tests and detailed explanations, I was able to pass the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate exam with confidence. Highly...

Siddharth Kumar Kosta

This course is extremely helpful for preparing for the AWS SAA-03 exam. The answer explanations are clear and detailed, which makes it easier to understand concepts and improve accuracy. Note: From my experience, the six practice sets are slightly more difficult than the actual exam. My scores in the practice tests were 55%, 63%, 67%, 69%, 58%, and 70% while I scored 757/1000 on the real exam....

8. Ultimate AWS Certified Developer Associate 2026 DVA-C02

If you write code that runs on AWS, the Developer Associate (DVA-C02) is a closer fit than the architect exam. Maarek’s course runs about 31.6 hours over 448 lectures, with 29 quizzes and one practice exam, and the developer-heavy core of Lambda, DynamoDB and API Gateway takes just over six hours of it. It assumes basic programming, the command line and JSON, but no AWS. It was updated in September 2026 and has about 124,200 reviews at 4.7, and recent reviewers report first-attempt passes. Several 2026 reviews complain of an exam voucher pop-up after each lecture in the player, and the Kinesis lab is no longer on the free tier.

Pros

  • Recent reviewers report first-try passes and say the lectures match what the exam actually asks
  • Updated September 2026, with 448 lectures, 29 quizzes and a full practice exam included
  • Over 700 slides available as a downloadable PDF; one reviewer says he still uses the notes at work
  • Clear, fast explanations that one reviewer says needed no supplementing from outside sources

Cons

  • Several 2026 reviews complain of an exam voucher pop-up after every lecture that breaks autoplay in the player
  • Kinesis is no longer on the AWS free tier, so that hands-on section can’t be followed along for free
  • Hands-on demos move quickly and there are no projects that combine multiple services

My knowledge of cloud and aws and development has vastly increased and my confidence on passing the exams as well. Hope it will pave way for your long-term career growth professionally. It's also great course for those who want to establish their own business and leverage aws it / cloud infrastructure

Raj Prajapati

So whenever you are talking about the previous topic, which is already lecture by you, then you can have a small screenshot over screenshot of that particular topic. So that at a real time running a new concept with the old technology that we already explained so it will be easier to remember.

Going further: AI and infrastructure as code

9. [NEW] Ultimate AWS Certified AI Practitioner AIF-C01

The AI Practitioner (AIF-C01) is AWS’s entry-level AI certification. Maarek’s course covers Bedrock and generative AI, prompt engineering, Amazon Q, AI and ML basics, the managed AI services, SageMaker, responsible AI and security in about 10.3 hours over 151 lectures, with 10 quizzes, and needs no IT or AI background. It was updated in September 2026 and has about 51,800 reviews at 4.7. The included practice exam is only 20 questions, one beginner found starting with Bedrock before the basics too much, and an August 2026 review said agentic AI topics were missing, so check the current curriculum before you buy.

Pros

  • Clear, easy explanations; several reviewers passed earlier AWS exams using his courses
  • Quiz after most sections, a practice exam, and all 200+ slides as a downloadable PDF
  • Hands-on demos of Bedrock, Amazon Q and SageMaker, using the AWS free tier where possible
  • Refreshed in September 2026, and one reviewer says Q&A answers reached beyond the AI topics

Cons

  • Only one 20-question practice exam; one reviewer says first-timers need at least two full-length tests
  • Opens with Bedrock before the AI and ML basics, which one true beginner found too much too soon
  • An August 2026 review found agentic AI topics such as AgentCore and MCP missing, so check the current curriculum

Ghazal Vatankhahan

I liked the course in general but feel sometimes its confusing, especially section 11 was not useful and not clear. but otherwise its good. update: I passed the exam, but what I suggest to add in this course is Bedrock AgentCore, and a bit more detail about classification algorithm.

Micah Ansohn

Stephane has already helped me get my AWS Cloud practitioner, and solution architect certification in a matter of 2 months, which has impressed my entire team of AWS adoption specialists. This is much faster than I could have done either of these certifications on my own, and the AI practitioner appears to be of similar quality. I'll definitely continue coming back for all of my AWS certifications.

10. AWS CloudFormation Master Class v2 [2025]

For anyone already using AWS, Maarek’s CloudFormation class covers infrastructure as code, from parameters, mappings and conditions through nested stacks, StackSets, custom resources and macros, with short intros to SAM and CDK. It is about 6.8 hours over 112 lectures with 20 quizzes, was updated in March 2026, and has the highest rating on this list: 4.8 from about 14,400 reviews. Several reviewers note that he mostly opens finished templates instead of writing them from scratch, and some console screens look dated.

Pros

  • Covers the full feature list, from Parameters and Conditions to StackSets, Macros and Custom Resources
  • Short lectures and a total of about 6.8 hours, so it is quick to get through
  • Stephane’s teaching is called clear and practical, and it points learners to the AWS docs
  • Refreshed in March 2026 and includes 20 quizzes to check understanding

Cons

  • Mostly opens finished templates, so there is little practice writing one from scratch
  • Console screens and some steps are dated, such as the old UI and S3 public access
  • Moves fast near the end, and a few reviewers struggle with his speech pace and accent

Before taking this course I was not much confident with CloudFormation but after completing this course I am super confident and feeling happy that I have learnt a lot of CF concepts like Modules, CloudFormation Registry etc.. which is not taught in any of the other udemy courses. Stephane amazing work man. Kudos to you. 🙂

Martin Pucovski

For me, the start of the course which covers the basics was very well explained. When it came to more advanced topics, I had the feeling that it was too fast and the examples used were more complicated than needed to be. I'm aware that it is impossible to create a course for every person, but Stephane did a very good job. In overall, I would recommend this course to anyone that want to learn CF.
