Build a web-shop in React MERN Full Stack [2024 Update] (Udemy.com)

The course is helpful to gain hands-on experience building fully functional internet shop from scratch. I have just started the course and have already learnt how to use MongoDB! In my opinion, it is quite challenging for complete beginners and is worth taking after you have learnt some basics. If you take it without prior knowledge or experience, be ready to google a lot and accept the fact that you will have to copy the author's code even though it is not clear to you.

I get it that you say "dont worry we'll figure it out later" on the whole redux thing, but i have to admit that if this course is for "Beginner in JavaScript, React or Programming" those things seem really overwhelming- including Express,axios and pretty much everything thats is not react/js... as for now i cant see how the things will continue because im feeling really bad with the code that im writing, if i wanted to buy a project i would have already done it, and it does feel like im learning redux- just copying. might want to concider adding a really small redux project so we could understand it before diving so deep...

I really enjoyed learning how to make a full stack ecommerce application using Formik, Yup, and Chakra UI. The app we made was sleek and had administrator interfaces that allowed for CRUD operations too. Also, it was amazing to actually have a PayPal interface that is fully functional. It was great having a github repository to refer to when things got a bit difficult; also, I really enjoyed how the professor actually took feedback from his students and created a bug section. So, that means he updates his course. Overall, it was informative, enjoyable, and I am glad to say that I have fully deployed application out of it! The only feedback I have is that it would have been nice if the professor would have given a little demonstration of Chakra UI components, perhaps demonstrated smaller examples before jumping in the code. It could be a bit daunting to explore a complete library full force; however, the Chakra UI documentation is very detailed and user friendly. Thanks, Evan

This course may not be the most comprehensive source of information if you are looking to learn how to build a website with MERN. The primary focus of the course appears to be copying what the instructor is typing, and as a result, it may not provide an in-depth understanding of the concepts involved. I suggest exploring other resources in addition to this course if you want to gain a thorough understanding of MERN web development. Also, there were many mistakes in the code that caused major headaches and broke the program entirely. Though the instructor did provide fixes to these errors, the fixes were not presented until much later in the course. Please be aware.

Sorry, I was meant to write some feedback but I forgot to do so. I really liked the course and the effort you put into it- I learnt a lot! Some things that could be better- if you write a bit of code, then switch to Chrome to show what it does (particularly for Tailwind or Redux) would better explain the functionality. Also, you could commit your code after each lecture and link the github commit so we can see what you have done each step of the lecture. Apart from that , excited to see you create more courses as I like your style. Could you please do NextJS for the next course?

This is a course fits right in for beginner and whoever like me who got confused with some react state management. Benjamin answers all questions and attend to any enquiries. His explanations in every topic was clear. The videos was short and focused for every section. He uses practical UI dependencies which does not overload you in your learning. This course honestly deserves more students. It covers most of the main features required in an ecommerce application. However, you will require to add more features on your own should you bring it to production such as for login/authentication with email and reset. I am eagerly looking forward to enroll more of his course if Benjamin ever make a course for advance / intermediate students. eg: Ecommerce driven with dashboard, perhaps some basic analytics. He is a good instructor, his approach was short, clear and concise.

Finally a course about MERN and Chakra UI. I was looking for an alternative to Bootstrap and MUI. Chakra is so powerful and I am not surprised that using it with mern works perfectly! Ben is a great instructor. It is definitely worth it. Make another course, please!

This is such a good course. Ben doesn't just teach you what to do, he teaches you why you're doing it. You walk away with a really solid foundation of knowledge. This course in particular teaches all of the most important parts of the MERN stack with Chakra for making a web application. Hands down the best course I've taken on Udemy.

This is a great course! Ben is covering a lot of topics, the course is well structured and you learn a lot. After this course, I was able to build my own little app with the same technologies used in this course. I am studying IT and this course is great to get your feet wet in coding :). Highly recommended.
