Course Description

The whole of the French language can be broken down into several different structures. If you take any sentence from any French book or any utterance, you will see that it fits into one of these structures.
I remember one weekend, I was writing some lessons for the week ahead, when I suddenly realised this. I noticed that there are a certain number of structures in French, and that every sentence follows one of these structures. I spent the rest of the weekend working out all the structures, and I wrote them all down.
Every structure you learn gives you the ability to say a huge amount. Some structures are used more than others, but all the structures together make up the whole French language. Once youve learnt how a structure works, all you have to do is insert different words into the slots and you have a sentence.
This course introduces you to structure 1. Ive limited each course to one structure so as not to overburden you. By looking at just one structure at a time, you can really get to grips with it and understand its usage. It will help to clarify the French language and make it more like a reflex rather than something you have to think about as is it were a maths equation.
Each structure can also help to propel you to fluency; if you can manipulate the structures at high speed, you can start to say anything you want without having to thing about how to say it.
This course contains plenty of practice opportunities for you to revise what youve learnt and it also contains some hints and tips on how best to learn and memorise the structures and the vocabulary that goes with them. Youll learn how to make questions out of structure 1, how to make statements and how to turn positive statements negative.
The Building Structures in French series is set out using the same learning techniques as the 3 Minute French courses. You can work through the course in three minute chunks, enabling anybody to learn French, no matter how little time you have.
Who this course is for:
You want to explore the French language a little more deeply.
You are interested in starting to learn about the structure of the French language and how to manipulate it.
You enjoy the 3 minute methodology used in other 3 Minute French courses.

Ill not bore you with my life story or intricate details of the history of the methodology; I know you probably just want to start learning now, so Ill let you get on with it.
I have created three series of language courses available in French, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese. They're called: '3 Minute Languages', 'Building Structures' and 'Quick Guides'.

3 Minute Languages
The 3 Minute Languages courses are perfect for the complete beginner. They will get you speaking a language from scratch, assuming you know absolutely nothing. You will be amazed at how quickly youre able to put sentences together. And you will memorise new words and phrases easily without even trying.

Building Structures
The Building Structures courses are a revolutionary way to look at foreign language acquisition; you will learn how any language can be broken down into around fifteen structures. Each course focuses on a different structure, and you will learn how to form it,

The course structured it's perfect and easy to memorize, Kieran explains it so well I definitely recommend it!
I wish Kieran could add some quiz at the end of the lessons so we can practice more like that, it will be very helpful.
Thank you so much, I can't wait to continue with all the lessons.

I am enjoying the course much better than others I have tried using in the past. The information is bite sized and makes sense. So far, I am following it well without any complications.

Great!

Subtitles would have made this a much better course.

Honestly, this is a very different approach to the French that I have been learning. Having some basic knowledge of French is really helping me now. Also, I feel that this approach is much more practical rather than learning words individually without knowing how to actually use them in a sentence. Good experience so far.

This course is helping me understand the basic concepts of french language easily.

Yes this is a good back up to my other learning techniques. I enjoy the way he teaches

Kieran makes grammar interesting. I think the method of having question words, infinitive carriers, infinitives and sometimes other set of words put together like pieces of LEGO is brilliant. When just using a limited number one soon get the idea and start to see the pattern.
It works well for me.

Effective brief with a lot of practices, thank you!

I love these courses by this instructor. I've done the Quick Verbs lessons and now Building Structures. I have learned much more French than any other methods or courses (online or at a university) I've tried, and in much less time. The structure of these courses/this course sticks better and makes more sense. I also recommend keeping note cards to help improve memorization.

Il corso buono ma contenuto nel corso 3 minute french 4, ovviamente non viene detto, cos ne paghi due inutilmente.
The course is good but it is contained in the course 3 minute french 4, obviously it is not said, so you pay two unnecessarily.
