Outstanding explanations, thorough documentation and straightforward lecturing, with obvious authority from miles and miles of experience. Have lots more of his courses and highly recommend them!

I'm working with another instructor and CAGED is part of what I'm doing there. This is supplementary to that as my primary. It gives me additional exercises and practice I wouldn't be getting otherwise. I'd just be doing tabs, scales and wouldn't have this course structure for a better understanding, and hopefully more well-rounded results. Thx

Should maybe have mentioned which chord shapes have root notes on 6th, 5th and 4th strings? So E shape at 5th fret is an A chord with the note (A) on the 6th string defining the chord name. A shape at 3rd fret is a C chord - taking its name from the note on the 5th string, etc.

The method Vinnie uses to teach is perfect for me. I need to hear the goal first and then start from the beginning to get to that goal. Guitar is like art and very personal. Not all riff sound good to everyone and I need to know if the riff is something I actually like. I like the structure of Vinnie's courses.

This is an excellent introduction to the caged system. I particularly liked having a solo to work through the five shapes and the example of connecting with chromatic notes. I had not seen that before and found that very helpful.

I thought this course was great, just what I was looking for. It filled a lot of the gaps in my playing and explained a lot of details, without being too complicated. Thank you Vinnie, you have made things a lot clearer for me.

Excellent instructor and course...step by step introduction to each new concept with excellent accompanying visual resources...Vinnie paces his instruction perfectly, allowing students to easily absorb the information. Learning pentatonic scales and the guitar fretboard can be a challenge but the way he introduces it is very practical, clear and concise. Any other 'senior learners' like myself...this is the place to begin your studies!

Great course to intro you to the CAGED system. I got a lot out of it the first time round (have just finished), and going to go back through it as I think it'll reveal some more info on a second listen. Really enjoyed learning the jam track solo, still can't quite get the last bit under my fingers but it's just a matter of time :)

On the whole goo course. Very much to the point. I would have liked more on triades and inversions and who the fit within the pentatonic scale and how to use the with the example Jam track. Still has help me understand better. Thanks.

I am leaving this rating because I think Vinnie is a good tele teacher. I do however think the lead ride he put in the Course was a little advanced for most players taking the introduction to the CAGED System.
