College Study Skills For Success (Udemy.com)

I am a new student, age 59, doing my M.Div. Haven't studied for 16 years. This course has been amazing! I'm only half way through and it has helped me feel so much more prepared for beginning of semester, which is next week. I have taken many notes from the lectures, and created my study schedule for weekly blocked-out study times as Danny has suggested. I have recommended this course to the academic tutor at my college. I hope it becomes a recommended resource for new students! Thank you, Danny!

As someone returning to college after 13 years away, I am pretty nervous about how much has likely changed and how I can best prepare myself. This course really helped alleviate those nerves because now I have a plan for how to approach the studying, reading, and writing. The only criticism I would give is that a number of the recommended tools are no longer in use so this course could use an update.

I decided to take this course as an undergrad student going into my junior year. I needed some tips to go from a B student to an A student. This course definitely helped me a lot. The software recommendations and planning tips sped up my study time immediately. Cons: This course is very repetitive at times, but the information is extremely helpful.

I left this rating because I feel like the Instructor is clear and concise. Also, and very importantly, the Instructor discusses problems that students may experience right from the beginning. There are many resources with tips on studying that exist, but few of them properly address common struggles and problems. So, thank you!

This course is giving me wonderful insight of what to expect and how to deal correctly and effectively with my courses. I'm a senior citizen who is five decades removed from any type of school experience. My apprehension and reluctance to sign up for college classes have been completely erased by this class. Danny is an engaging motivator who presses upon you common-sense coaching on how to be a winner at college study skills.

In my country nobody help us, how to learn something. Now as an adult, I must to improve myself alone. It was important to know, how can I be more productive with less wasting time. You know, if I could go back with this knowledge, I would be more success and pleased with myself. But studying is important and necessary and now I learned how should I manage my time, focus of my aims and select between important and less important things. Thanks guys!

Danny is well spoken and give a lot of advice not just on the technical aspects, but the personal side of getting better grades/learning effectively. He actually tells students to do things like ask for critical feedback on assignments. Effective learning skills, not "tricks" for good grades. Edit: However, this course has been taken over by a "marketing guru" type in the last couple of years. The spammy messages and "how to make money spamming" video links are a disservice to the community

Thank you for this course. Going back to study is a big task itself, therefore, being organised and having the right mindset from week one of the semester is vital. The course has supported me in developing the right plan to set me up for success. I would highly recommend this course for all students. I feel so much calmer about taking on my new learning journey. Fantastic!!
