Course Description

NIs latest Maschine controller has elevated the device to whole new levels, transforming it into one of the most incredible platforms for making music. Whether producing or performing, the powerful hardware/software combo provides all the tools you need to create original beats or complete arrangements with ease. On this comprehensive course by certified trainer Rob Jones, youll learn every aspect of both the MK3 controller and Maschine software, as well as learn a multitude of techniques for creating many different styles of music with them.
The tutorials begin with a detailed look at how to make patterns with the pads, working in the default pad mode as well as keyboard, chord and 16- velocity modes, explaining the various benefits of each one. Rob then teaches the ins and outs of soundslots in Maschine, by building a kit from scratch, before getting more advanced with Maschines Sampler, showing how to record and edit your own samples, slice up loops and lots more.
There is also a thorough exploration of Maschines instruments and effects, with lessons on both Drum and Bass Synths, as well as the entire range of built-in effects. Additionally, the course includes tutorials covering more advanced signal routing and effects usage, teaching how to modulate parameters and set up send effects, and also how to use Maschine within DAWs like Ableton Live and Logic Pro.
Signing up to the course provides immediate access to over 4 hours of tutorials, written notes, Maschine projects and 250MB of bonus samples. Before signing up, check out the free sample modules for an example of the tutorial content, which will have you mastering NIs legendary music-making tool in no time!

Rob Jones

Rob has been fully immersed in music since a very early age, having played a number of instruments and being involved in professional musical theatre, choral and operatic organisations throughout his youth. He is a classically trained musician, with piano as his primary instrument, and obtained a degree in music and sound recording (the prestigious Tonmeister course) from the University of Surrey.
During the emergence of big beat in the late nineties, Rob focussed increasingly on electronic music, beginning to dabble in production and becoming a resident DJ at various nightclubs. Having honed his skills both at University and in the studios in London where he carried out technical work, a unique style of production of predmoninantly breaks and house began to evolve. A number of tracks were released on various labels, including Lot49, Dead Famous and Erase, under the artist name Anarchy Rice.
Rob has been at the forefront of music software training since the very beginning, having kicked things off at Focusrite back in 2006. After leaving the company, he helped to set up Producertech Ltd., namely by creating online schools for Live, Logic and Reason, and then a string of courses on other music software programs. With both classical music and technical sound qualifications, as well as a wealth of presenting experience, he is ideally suited to the role of an online music trainer, and is 100% dedicated to sharing his knowledge and assisting others with what he believe

Easy to follow.

some things might have change in this course, it would be better if there were some updated videos rather than just some comments.

By Naydee on 12/6/2020

Very intuitive course, easy to follow

I've gone through the 2nd module now. It seems like this is exactly what I was looking for. The tutorials lessons are easy to follow and show a lot of features and even lead you into how to be creative. I think the introduction is a bit intimidating and i'm not sure if it is needed. Perhaps it could be improved if you simply just showed people where to save the resource files instead of doing the extensive exhibition of what maschine and the mk3 are capable of. I was a little worried after watching that based on the introduction alone if I would be able to follow along or not.

Un peu rapide mais cest lintroduction

its a good well produced tutorial. so far

By Nick Mabe on 11/18/2020

This course is excellent. As I am going through I, notice small differences in the Maschine Mk3 that are being used and the one I have, but that's worth learning in it itself. I gather firmware updates happen which make significant changes, can't expect the course to be updated every timeall in all, a great course.

Lots in there for an introduction. Most of us will be lost. hopefully the next videoa will break it down a bit

By Darryl Thomas on 11/10/2020

So far, I now know what the capabilities are. I'm looking forward to the beginning steps. instructions are easy to follow in this course.
