Oleksiy Gusarov

My name is Oleksiy and I am a certified DB expert at Oracle USA. Initially I was working with MySQL databases but had to retrain for the Oracle Database. And I have been working with Oracle Technologies for 5 years already. During this time our team has successfully migrated our application from MySQL to Oracle database. And later we were among the first to migrate our database to the cloud ( OCI ). Currently I have the following responsibilities: Define, design, and implement database solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge applications company. Performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity. Propose client configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the database systems.

FYI: I am not representing Oracle in this capacity

I absolutely loved this course! It covers everything you need to know about Oracle 19c. As the instructor himself mentioned, English is not his first language, but he did an impeccable job delivering every single topic with clarity and thoroughness. I'm looking forward to seeing courses on RAC and ASM from you soon. Keep up the great work

Everything is good but instructor's accent is bad and too fast and presentation skills are very very bad. It's a horrible english to understand. I came across multiple different voices in between which also includes robotic voice. I don't know how this course has very good ratings.

This was not merely an academic exercise; it was a highly practical and engaging immersion into the day-to-day role of an Oracle DBA. The curriculum was thoughtfully designed to build confidence and competence. I feel well-prepared to take on fundamental database administration tasks and am motivated to continue this learning path. The course has provided a powerful and essential toolkit for anyone pursuing a career in database management.

explanation is good but as the learing progress information feels a little more vague, this is not a stopper but has the feeling is less explanatory in the configuration and parameters used. this can be solved maybe by just adding resources that explain more or simply by referencing oracle documentation.

I found the whole course very educational. That's why I've given it 5 stars. I've worked as an Oracle developer and a DBA for a total of over 30 years and found lots I didn't already know! The accent takes a little getting used to and I suspect some have complained because half of this course uses a computer voice. I dislike computer-generated voices intensely and would suggest an improvement would be that the whole course is narrated by Oleksiy.

Hello, The lesson content was very good, concise, useful and practical, I thank udemy. It was only good that white background color was chosen so that it can be seen on mobile. Thanks a lot !!!

The course met all my expectations. I am currently holding a DBA role and would like to advance my skills and move towards becoming certified. This course has put my on the right track.

As a beginner with no previous experience, I rate this course 5 stars. It gives you an overview and good basics, since I'm not a DB admin and I only work with oracle databases occasionally, so some things seemed too advanced to me, but it's still great to have an overview of everything oracle db can do even if I don't use it.

I found it quite useful and practical, especially to learn about pluggable database administration. The only thing I would change would be to add the list of resources (scripts) to be downloaded in each lesson. I think they were put in a repository at the end of the course, but I had to request access.

Very early in the course and I have already found useful information. I hope it keeps getting better. Accent started out a little difficult to understand but I am getting used to it. Ran into an issue and instructor went above and beyond to assist. 50 Stars! RECOMMENDATION: In future courses, when showing command prompt window, I recommend changing the text color to green or amber like older terminal windows. The standard white/grey on black doesn't translate well to video. Also, I would increase font size which you did do on occasion. I have seen this issue MANY times with all courses taken on Udemy and other platforms, especially when the instructor used a Mac computer. Just my opinion and recommendation.
