I did passed core 1 last few week ago 8/8/26 with a score of 740. His exam very good for practice, but you should also review more PBQs online. There are a few questions that will make you anxious during the exam because they are difficult and unrealistic, so try to stay calm. I will buy core 2 pratice exam and feel ready if practice test above 85%

By Teren Shannon on 8/21/2026

It's a pretty good test; I can't comment on how similar it is to the actual exam since I haven't taken it yet. But I feel as if this is a great gauge of what I know and what I still haven't committed to memory.

By Johan Romero on 8/5/2026

Oddly enough i managed to score 80% my very first try and the rest where the same percentage or slightly higher. never reached 90% but i was very satisfied and confident i had studied really well, even if some questions and their topics caught me off guard; i was able to research them quickly or read the solution to at least understand why. i managed to score 820 on the real exam and I'm happy i used this as one of my study tools.

By Griffin Alexander on 7/15/2026

Took/Passed Core 1 today; this was one of the main study tools I used. I had already taken the google IT certificate course, which gave a good foundation. I would take the practice exam and identify which learning goals I would stuggle with and then I used Professor Messer's free online videos to fill in any gaps in knowledge. I was surprised to see how many PBQ questions there are on the actual exam, so make sure you incorporate PBQs into your study plan because they are very different than the multiple choice questions. Good luck y'all, you got this!

By Tyler Pickens on 6/17/2026

I just passed the core 1 exam with a score of 837/900. I took each practice exam twice before sitting for the real exam. This course covered all of the exam objectives and I felt confident when it came time to take the exam. It did seem as though a few questions went beyond the scope of the exam objectives, but I suppose that's not necessarily a bad thing. Will certainly be buying the core 2 practice exams in the coming days.

By Quinn Fontaine on 5/30/2026

I think the most valuable part of these exams is the explanation behind the questions, i found those to be amazing and very beneficial to my understanding of the topics. The questions to my exam was only somewhat similar, and the simulated PBQ where not even remotely similar. Overall i do believe these exams played a large role in helping me pass my Core 1, but the questions weren't that similar to my exam what is why i cant give it a 5 star. I would still highly recommend getting the exams for practice and the reasoning behind the questions.

By Ty Smith on 5/12/2026

The course itself with the explanations for every multiple choice question along with the difficulty, quality, and quantity was excellent. However, the performance based questions (PBQ) were nothing like the exam. There wasn't a single drag-and-drop PBQ question (like how they were structured in the practice exam) and they were more networking focused than I expected but that didn't stop me from passing. Overall, 4.5/5 and that's the only "gripe" that I have with this course.

I did a video course(not this instructor) and these practice tests. I took my test today and passed with a score of 757.(lowest to pass is a 675,the highest is a 900) I finished with 15 minutes left over. (the video course took me about 6 weeks-it was 20 hours longs, I did the practice exams for about 6 weeks. A passing score was my result.) I really feel I owe it to studying from these practice exams. If you do these exams and you get higher than 90% on all of them you are ready. A piece of comptia exam advice: the 5 lab questions will throw you off the most on the actual exam, you dont have to worry about them,do your best and focus on the 70 other questions.(you can flag a question with a button and you can come back to it at the end of the exam, you might even feel more comfortable after reading it the second time.) I took the test,I thought I might fail but new it would be better for me to experience what was on the test so i would at least know what to expect when i took it again. Fortunately for me I passed the first time.

By Luis West on 4/17/2026

These tests are extremely helpful, especially when used with a course like Messers. A great resource for anyone taking the test. I really appreciate that it tells you why the answer is right or wrong.

By Delon Harper on 3/31/2026

After reviewing the content in CertMaster I did these 6 practice tests and scored 78-81% on each of them first attempt. Second attempt was 95%+ on each of them since the questions do not change. Took the CompTIA 1201 exam tonight and passed with an 803. If you go through these tests and can explain to yourself why each choice is incorrect or correct you’ll be in a fantastic spot for the actual exam.
