This is a lecture-based prep course for the CompTIA Network+ N10-007 exam, taught by Jason Dion, a former college professor and lead instructor at Dion Training Solutions. The syllabus shows 103 lectures, 17 quizzes and one practice test, about 14.7 hours in all, plus downloadable study notes. It follows the five exam domains and starts from the basics, so A+ knowledge helps but is not required. More than 63,000 students have enrolled, and the rating is 4.7 from over 18,000 reviews.

Reviewers keep praising the teaching. They call his explanations clear and simple, and one says he gives memory tips that help. The roughly 160 page notes get a mention too, and one person says they passed after listening to the lectures on a commute and on walks. The complaints are consistent, though. Some say the course alone is not enough, especially for scenario questions and the performance-based items. One reviewer who sat the exam twice says topics came up that were never covered. Another found the delivery dry, with the instructor on the left and slides on the right, and few hands-on moments.

Pretty much used this course exclusively to study for the Net+ exam, took it and passed. I didn't purchase the additional quiz pack, but I suspect if I had then I would have gotten a better score. Don't know how much 11yrs job experience helped me to pass, but I do think this course could benefit from giving some more situation-scenarios of what-to-use-and-when for situations would help a lot more.

Passed net+ with a 90%, great course Jason! I'd say also get the quiz pack and just run thru all of them as much as you can over and over. Great course overall but like with anything you gotta put in the work (I crimped cables for a day just to remember pinouts for 1 or 2 questions.. -$20 on amazon). Supplemented subnetting with practical networking's playlist videos on Youtube as I liked that simple cheat sheet. P.S. I don't work in a IT job and haven't (yet) I came into all of this with pretty basic knowledge.

Solid course *TO START WITH* Let me preface this by saying Jason has a great teaching style and the actual information in this course is accurate. However, there is simply not enough information in this course by itself to get you a pass and it will especially not save you from the simulations/performance based questions. I say again, good foundation but not enough, I've taken the Network+ (N10-007) twice and scored 698 both times, getting questions on subjects/tools/usage of things that were never at all mentioned in this course and were not related to previous A+ knowledge. If you Like Jason's style of teaching then go to diontraining.com and get the bundle, at least you get a retake AND THE LABS from that. Which, you will, for a fact, need.

I used the Udemy app to download and listen to these videos while away from my computer and enjoyed listening to them in that format. I had studied from other books and videos previously, so I was able to get away with just listening to the videos in most cases. The videos are well-produce, and Jason breaks down the topics really well.
The notes that come with the course are helpful for copy+pasting to flashcards.
I had also purchased Jason's "6 Practice Exams and Simulations" for the N10-007 and was disappointed to see that there as some overlap in questions between the Full Course's practice exam and ones in the "6 Practice Exam" set. I wish both course pages had specified that, otherwise, I would have skipped the practice exam from this Full Course, which it felt like my score was inflated for because I had seen the same practice questions on the tests in the "6 Practice Exams" set.
