Clear and fun to learn that no matter how many times I replay the videos in preparation for my exam, I find myself smiling at some side comments..like those 13 year olds... smurfs..etc...*smiling*. It's not boring & quite entertaining, really. Actually a fun way to learn and remember topics. Not boring at all. For me, this is effective. I seriously get better practice exam results coming from what I learned here.

Good explanations, great set of materials, nice accent. Instructor has got several important real life lessons to share and has a realistic approach to the exam. The only reason I rated it 4.5 stars is because I really dislike those black and white slides: they get tiring after a while. Figures and animations could be a little better too. Great course though, worth the time and money.

This course is one of the best Comptia Security+ Courses on Udemy. The slides are crystal clear, audio the same. It's well structured and contains a lot of information. I only give 4 stars because: -0,5 star for not answering questions to the students. that's a no-go and many other lecturers do that by far better -0,5 star for not presenting some proof-of-concepts. Some topics would be much easier to understand with more screen records. There were only a handfull at all.

Good course but I would have like for one of the first recommendations to be to download the CompTIA Security+ Certification Exam Objectives and not save that for the end of the course. It would have been helpful to run through that as I was going through the material to see what the deltas were. Overall a good course and I recommend it to other potential students.

I don't have a very extensive computer background. I did read the COMP TIA Security + book, but I found a lot of it confusing. After completing this course, I feel like I understand what's going on. I like that each segment is in short 5-6 minute sections. I feel like the order in which the information is presented is far more logical than in the COMP TIA Security + book.

The instructor reads at a good pace and does an excellent job explaining acronyms and technologies at a low level for students who may not be familiar with them. I personally crash-coursed these videos as a way to get the ball rolling towards the Security+ certification, and I feel that's the best use for this particular course. The instructor does not go into enough detail on many topics to have this be your only source of studying, but you should never study for any cert with anything less than two sources anyways. Use this course as a baseline of knowledge, and get the details of the topics from another source.

I'm very pleased with the course content so far (I'm 50% through) amount of content and presentation - a very good purchase indeed. The speaker communicates well (although I don't get some of the US jargon/phrases, I get the main points) He has DEFINITELY got me more interested in this topic and I've learnt a lot. Easy to follow.

Instructor is very calm and collected in his approach making me confident his teaching will help me pass. I do not question his knowledge and being an older gentleman I have strong trust in his level of experience. Even though Security+ is required in many jobs and all government jobs it seems he reminds you it is entry level so as to not panic anyone. There is a lot more to do if Security is a job anyone would like to go into and this is a just a rite of passage to get into that world.

This was my first introduction to the CompTIA Security+ objectives. This lecture series didn't carry me all the way to my certification, for that I needed more study material, but the course presenter mentions several times that it's a good idea to expand your knowledge base. Although I had other materials at my disposal, I kept coming back to this series. The lecturer is not rushed, but not long winded either. The exam was more difficult that I imagined it would be due to the performance questions, but like Mark says "You don't have to ace it, you just have to pass."

4 out of 5, only because I've not passed the exam after taking it. Haven't taken the exam, and may not ever. I found the course very useful as a refresher. [took the entire A+ curriculum in Jr College several years ago, before the Security+ became available] Good instructor, good material, lots of useful suggestions of other things to do or read up on depending on what your purpose is. Would recommend to anyone working with computers beyond beginners.
