Do you or someone you know understand little to nothing about how to use a computer? Ever wonder what computer terms like virus, mouse, keyboard and antivirus mean? What about all of this downloading and the internet? If you are not sure about those terms or think you may want to know more, this is for you!

You hear people talking about all of these weird terms like the Windows Desktop, the start menu and the dreaded virus! You will learn what all of that means in simple, easy to understand terms and actual demonstrations.

We will learn the basics of using a computer bit by bit. Each section will be a different computer topic and there will be several lessons in each section. We will learn about using your computer, computer parts such as the mouse, monitor, keyboard, USB and Ethernet as well as topics such as computer security, the internet, problems and troubleshooting as well as a few more advanced topics!

This course also includes videos showing features specific to Windows 8.1, 10 and 11! These videos range from basic functions included in each operating system to how to access settings and the layout of your computer desktop. Additionally, we try to cover some of the differences among these operating systems!

Patrick has the Comptia A+, Network +, Security + and CySA + certifications that focus on computer hardware, networking & computer security. He also has extensive experience in operating systems such as Linux and Windows, Python and BASH scripting as well as Java programming. Patrick also likes helping others break their fear of technology. 

   In addition to his certifications, Patrick attended technical school and college in Florida and completed his Cybersecurity and Computer Science Degrees in Colorado.  He also had his his own personal computer maintenance and repair shop. Eventually obtaining technical positions working with cities and corporate environments. 

   Aside from technology, Patrick also studies weather & meteorology. He frequently observes weather anomalies, especially during the spring storm season. He is also a trained weather spotter and has extensive experience identifying and relaying weather information during severe weather events including weather patterns hail, tornadoes, micro-bursts, floods and more.

since I never took a basic computer course and was way overdue, this course really filled in the gaps of my misunderstanding and it made well rounded connections for me. Now I am more confident and will ask my friends or relatives for help more readily.

Thanks so much for your fantastic lecture. I'm a Newbe learning affiliate marketing program and really struggling with the implementation stages due to my limited tech knowledge. This program has really helped a lot to atleast for me to continue with my implementations. I'll definitely be going through this lecture again so as to solidify my knowledge. A small point, I would like to make is that some of the demos are obscured by the program timer. Thank you.

Great Information! The only complaint I have is that you talked way faster than I could write my notes... maybe just slow down just a bit to give your students time to take the proper notes with out having to keep rewinding and pausing the videos.
