Course Description

Hi. My name is Ian Stables and I have been writing online content since the year 2000. I currently have more than fifty Kindle books on Amazon, many of which have been best-sellers.

I help self-published authors become successful.

I am going to show you the easiest and fastest way to create outlines for quality nonfiction books.

This is part of my own unique super system I call, Write In Steps. If you are interested in learning the rest of this system after completing this course, then take my other course to learn my unique entire system.

You will be able to use this method right away.

This is how I'm going to do it:

I'm going to walk you through five simple steps that make sure everything you need in your book is included. It will be constructed in such a way that writing your book will be a lot simpler.

The five steps:

- Create your chapters in seconds.

- List subheadings in seconds.

- Create your entire book content in minutes.

- Make your book is easy to understand.

- Make it flow with a quick sort.

It is a very simple process. Each step only takes minutes.

As you know, if you have an outline, writing your book is a lot easier and you get a far better result. It's the difference between taking a journey with or without a map.

Did you know that most of the top selling books follow a certain structure and alwaysinclude certain ingredients? This process will make sure your book is in the right order and also includes every element.

Once created, writing your book will be a simple step-by-step process.

Join other self-published authors and learn this highly effective method.

"Always be learning."

Teaching more than 76,000 students.

"I love to find better, easier, faster, and more efficient ways to do things. I then like to help others by sharing my discoveries."

"You can do anything, within reason. You just need to know how."

I want to help as many people as possible with what they want to improve in their lives. I have done that through my writing since 2001.

Would you like tomake nonfiction book writing easy? This is what my first course, Write In Steps, does.

More courses to come.

My history:

I gave my first talk when I was aged twelve. This was in front of over one hundred people. I followed a program designed to improve public speaking and teaching.

I learned computing and went on to develop a computer system to run a business in herbs and spices. This was designed to allow complete novices to generate customer orders and delivery notes. It then allows the finished order to be processed and then invoiced.

I'm telling you this because I want you to understand something. I have always been keen on learning new things. Not only that, but I like to make things work better. So when I found writing books hard, I started to improve my system. The result is that I now have a system that is streamlined and far more efficient. It allows me to produce quality books that readers gain great benefit.

Part of my innovative mentality means that I am always reading about new ideas

Overall it was. I think I have already mastered this skillset. It was very helpful for someone without a lot of writing experience who is just starting out.

I'm surprised at how much I got out of this course. Sometimes the simplest concepts give the best value, and that's what I found with this course - a very simple concept but with great value. I'm happy I purchased the course and would recommend it to those who are struggling to get started from their intention to write a book. The content is very basic and simple, however part of the delight of this course is in recognising how simple putting together your book outline can be.

By Jay Mattisson on 8/7/2019

The teacher is giving very down to earth advice, step-by-step instructions. It helps me translate this to my own work.

By Laura Montini on 7/25/2019

This could only barely be considered a "how to outline a non-fiction book". It wasn't even how to use a mind-mapping tool to outline a book. This was a "How to start brainstorming your non-fiction book", at best, and not even detailed.
If you've NEVER written anything before, at all, then maybe this points you in the right direction. Even so, there are blog articles that go more in depth into how to actually outline non-fiction than this course does.
1. The instructor sounds terribly bored with his own subject.
2. He never delves into the actual process, he just assumes you already have the idea set out and just sort of puts it in a mindmap, which if you had some sort of idea already, then you probably would already have the outline.
3. The examples are poor and incomplete (also chose niche, unrelatable topic to do an example with)
That said, there is some basic nuggets of common-sense logic here. (Basically: Consider the steps people need to take and write them in bullet points, then expand on them, but again, this is completely-newbie level and found more in depth in other places).

By Louis N Guertin on 7/12/2019

Common sense explained in a very simple way. If you actually stop and do the work as prescribed, you'll end up with 2/3rds of your book completed. You'll have your chapters and everything that will happen in your chapters laid out for you. Great lesson for beginners.

By Lillian Swanson on 7/5/2019

This book is especially great as it emphasizes the "read, listen, and do," the last of which explains that so few appreciate the Law of Attraction: they do not "DO." If I listen to Ian with a Partially completed list and add to it before I proceed, I feel as though I am completing a long thought-about book. It certainly develops a sense of confidence in the future of my book. Thanks, Ian!

The question I often ask myself when
I purchase somethings is this..."Did I get more in use value than the monetary value I paid for it?" My answer to purchasing this course, is yes! While it wasn't and all encompassing course to writing an ebook, it was vitally important as a first step in the process, so that the flow of writing, the organization, and overall delivery of your ebook is much easier for you to write, and your customers to read. The bottom line is that the beginning process of writing an ebook that Ian lays out is well worth the consideration, and ultimately, will lead to writing a better ebook thats organised and useful, that potential customers will want to read and be happy with. That after all, is what every author endeavors for. Thank you sir!
PS...The mapping software in the videos that Ian is using is a free open source software called FreeMind. Just Google it to find download link. I use it and it's excellent and easy to use.

great course on book outlining with simple and practical exercises.

Poorly prepared, poor examples.

It's a good course!

I really liked Ian's simple and straightforward system for creating solid outline for a non-fiction book. This was really helpful for me because I tend to overcomplicate my topics which have the potential to wander all over the place, and way off topic.
After taking this course, I look forward to creating tighter - and faster - instructional books and courses.
Tip to other students: play the lectures at 1.5 speed after you've gotten used to his accent :)
