Create Your First React Native App (Udemy.com)

Was a good introduction to React-native. Good teaching and self-directed learning. Would rate it higher if the course was more updated. As it was, I had to figure out the navigators by myself, which was fine but I wasn't even sure if I could complete the course material given the lack of proper answers

This course was a great way to learn React Native through hands-on experience! The Navigation is a bit out of date since React Native made some updates. The only difference is that the navigation needs to be created using createStackNavigator (or whatever navigator you are using) and exported using createAppContainer, which was easy to find online.

This course was exacly what I was looking for to help me getting started with react native. The inscructor seems to know a lot about the subject and the exercices are really helpful. Goods: A lot of exercises Convers most cases of navigating screens Instructor answers questions from the students Cons: Some libraries are outded I missed an introduction on how to write tests for react native.

I'm a designer for 18 years and now trying to build my own apps. This was my second course on React Native. The first one was good to start, but this one was faster, more complete and more engaging. I really like the results, I hit some obstacles, due to difference of versions and etc, but managed to fix them myself, which made it even better. I really appreciate this course and the professional for taking the time to make it and putting it up. :)

The instructor is perfect for my level. Perhaps if I was not then it would have been difficult to keep up with him. The course could have potentially be improved by adding examples on API calls. For https fetch and componentWillMount or Didmount. Overall this is a great course....

It's quick and instructive and I really enjoyed Spencer's clarity. A few glitchy bits of audio and volume adjustments, but nothing that gets in the way of understanding, and generally it's crystal clear and well presented. After completing a previous react-native course I was hesitant to take this one, but it has actually given me a lot more insight and a whole different perspective on react-native development. This course is very helpful and very well designed!

This was my first React Native video tutorial I bought on udemy. Although it didn't cover many things I am happy that I started here, because it gave me the basic knowledge how React works, how can I structure the code of my app, how to create and reuse components and so on. Really useful. English is perfect, speed is perfect. Will subscribe to your feed and waiting for your next videos. Thanks a lot! G.

Comprehensive enough and refreshingly fast-paced, as opposed to other react-native courses which are quite slow-paced. I also liked the way 'react-navigation' was covered and the author's take on structuring the components code. Could be improved by including an appropriate linter configuration and PropTypes (but that would probably "unfocus" the content a bit).

Absolutely clear and to the point. Very well detailed so that nothing is missed when creating a RN app. What's very important for me is to make sure I know the fundamentals. Here Spencer Carli has done an amazing job at it. Really good for the self taught developer who want to solidify his knowledge.
