Course Description

Creative Problem Solving is not about working harder — it is about thinking differently. Some of the world’s greatest ideas were born not under pressure, but in moments of curiosity, imagination, and reflection. Einstein did not discover relativity by forcing answers; he imagined himself riding on a beam of light.

In today’s fast-paced business environment, stress and urgency often block creativity exactly when we need it most. Yet organizations value people who can generate fresh ideas, improve processes, create innovative strategies, and challenge conventional thinking.

Creative Problem-Solving is more than a technique — it is a mindset and a way of approaching challenges with openness, flexibility, and confidence.

During this course, you will learn how to:

  • Apply creative thinking techniques to everyday business challenges

  • Use structured methods to generate innovative and practical solutions

  • Increase your ability to think clearly and creatively under pressure.

Do you consider private or business reasons for scouting on Problem Solving topic?

For business purposes you might need the unusual / crazy approach from time to time; especially when creating the market strategy, products, trends setting, improving processes or changing vision.

What will you get specifically?

Establish how the seven Creative Problem-Solving techniques work:

  • Brainstorming Strategies

  • The Reversal Technique

  • The Disney Model

  • Forced Relationships

  • Metaphors

  • Assumption Smashing

  • Lotus Blossom

I liked the ideas being spoken and conveyed. I do feel that practical use of these is feasible. However, I think there should be a means of integrating these ideas into practice instead of as information to be digested. Thank you for the lesson!

Creative problem solving is not about working harder — it is about thinking differently, questioning assumptions, and exploring new perspectives. In today’s business world, problems are rarely solved with linear thinking. The most successful professionals and organizations: • Generate fresh ideas • Turn constraints into opportunities • Innovate even under pressure

This learning experience was effective and relevant for me because it combined clear explanations with practical, real‑world examples.

The Creative Problem Solving Tools course was engaging and practical. It introduced structured techniques for analyzing challenges, generating innovative ideas, and evaluating solutions. I especially appreciated the emphasis on applying tools like brainstorming frameworks, root cause analysis, and decision matrices to real-world scenarios. The course strengthened my ability to approach problems with clarity, creativity, and confidence, which I can apply directly to program planning and stakeholder engagement in my role.

Great class with lots of history, tools and great information. My only note is that I found the overlay generated voice to be distracting sometimes, but the flow was very well done!

By Steven Walters on 3/13/2026

There were some nice ideas under the surface, but the delivery is stale and robotic, examples shared were low quality visuals

By Alexander B. Buere on 2/22/2026

Problem solving is just really having a solution at hand, rather having the best and suitable answer to a problem is effective and in long-term basis.

By Brett Larsen on 1/16/2026

Overall good information, but the information could've been more beneficial if it were further expanded upon with examples or activities. But overall, the information is good for a high view of the topic.

This course has a great blend of theory and practice. By knowing the theory it is much easier to create practical steps to incorporate these techniques quickly when needed

By Ian Mitchell on 12/8/2025

As an Innovation Consultant I am familiar with these ideas and approaches. This is certainly better for a person starting out on their Creative Problem Solving journey.
