I began my career as a software engineer working across iOS and Web. During this time I discovered a passion for ensuring what we develop is being delivered with quality and speed to our customers. I followed this passion and shifted my career to focus on improving the quality function.
Some Highlights from my career to date include:
- Top nominee for Best Agile Test Team in the world (A global competition - judged by our peers) - we were alongside such global companies as Google, Microsoft and Amazon.
- Grown and expanded a QA Practice from (3 testers - 6 projects) to an Enterprise-wide function with over 100+ testers across - 64 high-level projects.
- Produced incredible quality and automation testing results that lead to investment, project growth, and expansion in the quality function.
- Supported a culture of embedding QA's in projects - Creating experts of championing world-leading quality best practices among the team.
- Ran and organised automation training sessions to up-skill, retain our talent and support our automation goals (Playwright, Espresso, Cucumber, Protractor, Cypress, Detox and XCUITEST)
- Created and empowered a collaborative monthly meet-up across projects called Back to Practice - This session brought together teams to generate ideas and tasks for future sprints that helped us improve the quality function and drive automation improvements.

I'm currently going through the Cucumber Playwright TypeScript Automation Framework course, and it's absolutely fantastic! Cameron does an amazing job breaking down complex concepts, making it easy to follow along and apply the knowledge in real-world projects. The course is comprehensive and practical, providing everything needed to build a robust automation framework from scratch. I’d love to see visual regression testing incorporated into the course in future updates, as it would add even more value for testers like me. Also, a course covering Cypress, Cucumber, and TypeScript would be an excellent addition! Highly recommended for anyone looking to deepen their knowledge of test automation!

You are creating a course from start to finish for people who want to learn what you know. Perhaps you intended your course with good intentions, but in the end, the course turned out to be completely chaotic and unclear because you made this course for yourself, not for the people who want to learn what you do. Throughout the lessons, you explain your actions very poorly. Almost everything has to be figured out independently by searching the internet to understand why a particular action is necessary. The task is not just to dump code on the students but to make them understand why this code is needed and how to use it. You write the code, explain something along the way, but forget to explain other things. This creates the feeling that you are just repeating after you without understanding anything. What am I doing, and why am I doing this? I repeat, perhaps your goal was to create a course for people who want to study Playwright and Cucumber. But in the end, you have a course that only you understand from start to finish. If I hadn't taken a course on Playwright before yours, I wouldn't have understood what you were doing and why. Unfortunately, I am extremely dissatisfied with the purchase and want my money back.

Excellent course ! I loved the course in terms of how the framework is designed from ground up and improved continuously in order to be able to build up a scalable framework. The instructor is extremely knowledgeable and also shares some best practices which are excellent starting points and essential for any framework , if we are to be able to maintain this well , over a period of time. If we have ever setup an automation framework , we will appreciate many of the techniques presented here. I loved the coding style , and there is a lot of ground covered here. The patterns used , for example the regex in the step definitions are absolutely fantastic , to name a few. Its absolutely the best course on automation I have taken up. Looking forward to more courses from Cameron , and thank you very much for all the hard work that you've put in to create this course. It really makes a difference to a lot of us !

Really enjoyed working through this course and learnt a lot along the way. The framework provided is excellent if it fits the needs for your usecase (which for most it probably will). Cam is an excellent tutor and I would definitely partake in any future courses provided by Testing Talks. As a user with next to 0 coding experience, I was able to setup this framework with ease and was delighted with the approach and how simple it was to create. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 because in an ideal world for my usecase, I would have liked for more options/scenarios to be provided where the user may want Playwright to be utilised a little differently. Or maybe a little more detail in why certain choices were made and how they function. At times there's a lot of the "what to do" and not "why you're doing it". But that's fine as everyone taking the course will have different skillsets and it's difficult for one course to please everyone. I think if you have a developer background you'll find this course a breeze and will have no issues extending it to your needs if required. Those without a developer background may struggle to modify this framework in areas to suit their usecase. Though, there's a strong chance the framework built would be perfect for you anyway. Overall, delighted I took the course, it's a shame there's no documentation to accompany the course to save going back through hours of video to try and find the segment you need. But all in all, it was excellent. Keep up the good work, Cam!

I'll be honest, I had super high expectations from this course and whilst there is great content and it does provide you with an excellent framework, there's not really much explaining done which is a big problem. I want to know WHY something is being done, WHY a technology is being introduced or WHAT a particular function is doing. This is often left by the wayside and that could result in students feeling confused and lost. Again, I think this course is a great resource but it could definitely do with parts being re-done and more in depth and carefully curated explanations being given.

This is a really good and useful course. I got a lot of knowledge here, so if you don’t know much about playwright - this is a good starting point. The most interesting thing to me is that in addition to just building an e2e framework, you also learn about running accessibility checks, configuring your project on CI, and even API testing. I cannot imagine how much work Cameron has spent preparing such a great course. Also, I really appreciate that all related questions were addressed. Thanks for this course and good luck!

I am almost done finishing with this course, but I am reviewing it right now because this has been one of the most pleasant experiences for me in Udemy. Cameron is not only reassuring and confident, but also helps you out if you have any questions or problems when facing automating. In terms of framework -- World Class. I hope Cameron keeps this course alive by keeping it up to date and also taking requests (which I believe he does!) If you are looking for Playwright framework learning, this is the place to be.

I am really enjoying this course, It's very well structured. The information is really condensed and thoroughly explained. From the beginning, it felt like a good pair programming exercise. A good way to learn from someone and see how they think and write code. Each topic is structured in a code-along with Cameron format. He thinks out loud, tries to improve, iterates and builds framework maturity and complexity as the course content progresses. The resources attachments for each section of the course are extremely helpful. What an excellent way to crosscheck the start and end checkpoints for each section. I specifically like the GIT *.diff resource files to track the difference in code made on each file. I found the end of section quizzes are fun to do and a great way to validate your understanding. Thanks, Cameron

I came from an automation background and was seeking a playwright solution to automate our company's application. I found this course super useful. It's very well organised and interactive which starts easy at the beginning and then keep continuously improving until it becomes a mature, end to end automation framework. The instructor did a fantastic job. From what I have learned I can say this course and framework can be easily converted and used across the majority of web applications. I would highly recommend this to whoever has an interest in test automation.

An ‘Absolute cracker’!!! If we want to develop a new framework or improve what you have at this moment, this is the course to go. The best part I like about this framework is, it runs with minimal code. I really don’t like the idea to have 1-1 step to definition design pattern, the code never ends, and we end up writing a lot of duplicate codes. Cameron has huge experience in Testing space and a known face to our Testing community. He has successfully brought the whole lot together and presented a great Testing framework with the modern testing tool- Playwrite. Great work Cameron…..
