Dapper - Getting Started (Udemy.com)

I purchased this course to learn about Dapper. NOT Entity Framework OR MVC, neither of which i'll be using to update/upgrade an existing appliction using Dapper and Blazor. I'll be archiving this class and go looking for a tutorial on Dapper. Further into the course we've gotten away from EF and i'm getting the information that I was hoping for. increased to 4 stars at this poiont (thumbs up)

Perfect course. Delivered in every aspect and met my full expectation. Perfect Length, Perfect explanation Perfect content and Perfect delivery. Enunciation too was perfect and fully coherent even at X2 playback speed. I will be sure to do more courses with this great presenter

An excellent course to understand Dapper in an easy way. There are no complications, no wasting time in using other techniques, straight to the point and focusing on the subject. If you are bothered by the complexity of ORMs like EF and have some skills in queries and SProcs, this course is excellent for you and Dapper is an excellent alternative for complex ORMs.

Very well formatted course with clear instructions and accompanying code repo. Bhrugen helps you to not only get you started with Dapper, but also goes into the deep end in Advanced Dapper section. The last lecture and template provided on Generic Dapper repository is fantastic.

Course is good for experienced developer but for beginners it is too fast. Also it could be better with more explanation of basic concepts, when to and why to use.

1. As I mentioned earlier, the EF content wasn't of interest to me. I can make a table MUCH faster in SQL than I can in EF with Migrations. As you mentioned in the stored proc section, "that's what happens when you don't have intellisense" -- I don't see the benefit of keeping SQL code inside of quotation marks in a C# class. (I just have a SQL folder in the project, which is sync'd in the repo; or in a pinch, can use "SCRIPT AS in SSMS) 2. Somewhere around section 3, I made a typo or something and my sample project no longer works. I could have started over, or spent time debugging it, but it wasn't worth the effort. It would be could if the course repo had the interim versions as well as the final. 3. Without those interim version in the repo, sometimes you move very quickly through creating the code, requiring me to pause the recording and/or squint at the screen.

A very interesting course that covers from the installation of Dapper, first steps, a review of the Dapper.Contrib extension, and advanced topics such as Bulk, async, transactions and generics. A highly recommended course for those .Net developers who wish to learn this technology.

I really enjoyed this course. Our business had a need to utilize Dapper as our data access method and this course helped me understand and learn the fundamentals as well as a few intermediate edge cases we will likely run into. The only other thing that would have been beneficial to me, although I will likely just figure it out on my own and may be outside the scope of this course, is implementing a "unit of work" style pattern for managing all the repositories that may be needed in a given controller. Otherwise, this was the perfect course for me.

Great course for getting better understanding about Dapper Mini ORM. Teacher makes a great comparison between EF and Dapper. Every example gives you a better understanding about the process of manipulating data through Dapper. Thank you Mr. Bhrugen Patel for this course!

Very good course! Not too long and the videos were just the right length. The last section really helped me understand the power behind dapper. My only objection was to use code-first. I would have preferred the tables created manually in SSMS and EF used through database-first approach.
