Instructor Details

Bader Badruddin

Ive worked in Animation since 2006 and have worked in both 2D and 3D. I have a wide range of skills, but my main two are in bringing characters to life through animation, and drawing and illustrating characters.

I have also taught animation in Abu Dhabi in the past, working with Cartoon Network in their Cartoon Network Animation Academy, and was part of the initial setup.

I am now an independent artist working in London creating short animations, illustrations, and online courses.

I am a huge fan of all kinds of art and animation, and I hope to share what I know, at an affordable price, at a high quality and professional level.

Thanks

Bader!

Incomprehensible, no subtitle in "French"?Not enough classes, no exercises.

I learned to make a better character, learned to digital paint. I didn't know that, before this course, so I am thrilled.Marija

Lovely course. I liked everything about it. The instructor is calm and explains the steps very nicely. Easy to follow. I could actually draw along sometimes. The explanations helped me grasp the big picture, which then made it easy for me to use and have pretty instant success with it. Thanks for that.

very clear and knowledgeable instructor, i would have liked the course to show other software being used such as Manga 5 for instance because Photoshop is very expensive. But that is just my personnel thoughts otherwise a fantastic course

This course isn't one of those, all too common, "coloring book" type cartoon/comic coloring courses. This course outlines a process that takes cues from the pencil sketch, but isn't "married" to it for the coloring. From the standard shading the ball exercises to a pair of coloring in a pencil sketch, this course takes the student on the journey of a process that is very well explained and demonstrated. Especially great is the "clean up" method that is shown. Badruddin is very well prepared for instructing this course. There's very few asides or unnecessary repetition in his lectures. And it's all good. After watching these lectures I went and applied the concepts and process to a new sketch. I was pretty darn happy with my results. This course showed me how to take my fully painted comics to the next level. Moreso than the many other digital painting or digital comic coloring courses I've watched. The only criticism I have is that the audio level on the lectures is a bit low and Badruddin's vocal "presence" is somewhat low-key. I had to crank up the volume on my speakers to hear him clearly and by the 2nd or 3rd lecture I was used to his vocal presence. If you want to paint your cartoons or comics and want to avoid the Airbrushed coloring book look that most modern comics have (not to slight the colorists, who do an amazing job, btw), check this lecture out. Well worth the price. I plan on re-visiting this course a few times.

This course could have been excellent. It was interesting watching his processes and the final part was very interesting. Unfortunately, he spoke so quietly that it made the experience somewhat frustrating.

Amazingly, talented artist. He makes everything seem so easy, but he is thorough in his approach... telling the viewer exactly what he's doing. I like the close caption because often times the instructor is soft spoken or has an accent, or both and that way we aren't distracted by not hearing what is being said.

I loved the beginning of the course. Shading the image in along side him, I felt like I making amazing artwork. towards the middle I was losing him and right at the end I was totally lost. I had no idea if he wanted me to draw along or just watch. Also when I try to do the the black and white image without the guidance it looks muddy. I guess that more on my fault for not being a better digital artist.I really liked the teacher, the course was very streamlined which was nice. I don't know how I feel about this course I'm glad I know about the methods and seeing his design progress, I just can't put it into practice and felt like I haven't improved. Maybe it just wasn't the right course for me.

Apesar da complexidade do Photoshop, demonstrado que o principal precisa de um pequeno conjunto de ferramentas, que podero resolver grande parte das necessidades.O processo excelente e atractivo e aprendi bastante.Parabns

I really enjoyed this course. Nice step by step instructions. Learned a lot.

Comprehensive, informative, engaging and met my highest expectations. Learned a lot and it was just a pleasure to watch the instructor draw and paint.

This is really an amazing course on digital painting cartoon characters. Bader breaks it down so simple and easy for anyone to learn, and you better get it now while it is cheaply priced because he keeps adding new stuff to it and is raising the price soon as I understand it. Glad I got it when I did.
