Course Description

"Krita" is a graphic application comparable to Photoshop. But unlike Photoshop, Krita is free and open-source software. So, you don't need to pay anything to download and use it. Another thing that makes Krita different from Photoshop, is that Krita is more focused on digital painting. That is why in Krita, you can find many features related to digital painting that do not exist in Photoshop. If you need software for drawing or creating illustrations, then Krita will make you feel right at home.

If you want to master Krita quickly and easily, then -in sha Allah- this online course is the best solution for you. Please note that this online course is the continuation of the basic-level course that was released earlier. To ensure you can follow the course without problems, it's recommended that you take the basic-level course first, before taking this one.

What will you learn?

In this course, you will learn advanced selection techniques. Then learn Vector Graphics techniques in Krita. From making basic primitive objects, to being able to create custom complex shapes. You will also learn the ins and outs of “Filter” and “Mask” in Krita. We will discuss various filters such as "HSV", "Levels", "Color Balance", and so on. Including how to access hundreds of different “G'Mic filters”. Then, you will also learn the "Gradient" feature in detail. From the process of creating gradient presets, editing the gradient colors, until applying gradients using various methods.

After we learn the techniques, we will put them into practice by creating two different illustrations from start to finish. These two illustrations have something in common, that is, they both use the Vector technique combined with the Raster technique. But the way Vectors are used in each of these illustrations is very different. In the first illustration, where we will create a strawberry-shaped house, vector graphics are used as the base colors. Raster techniques are then used to add shadows, highlights, textures, and so on. Whereas in the second illustration, where we will draw a robot fighter character or "robot warrior", Vector graphics are used to create outline or "line art". For the coloring process, we will explore a different technique. That is, we will start with defining shading and highlight in grayscale. Then we add colors to it using the “gradient map” filter. And after that, we apply various raster techniques to add lighting effects and finalize the illustration.

There are still many things that you will learn from this course. It is impossible to explain all of them in this short text description. Please refer to the curriculum section if you want to learn more.

Yes, this course is good. Section 4 could have another video which presents the concept and application of masks in a concise manner (for people who can grasp the concept) rather than split it over so many videos. Keep the videos for those who need greater detail. It's like a version for detail and a version for the concept depending on the student's level of understanding of masks.

Once he again he proved he is mater of teaching . Even though I finished the course I need to revise once more Because that much of stuff is inside this course. Very detailed Explanation. Only Disappointment is some times you skipping the process because of its already been covered and nothing new to learn. Even though you thought every thing we needed . Watching your work keeps boosting me So next time you please try to avoid that . Its my humble request. I 100% recommend this course and I am totally satisfied. Thanks for giving this course.

Amazingly skilled tutor; clear and concise instruction, with a high focus on professional and efficient program use. The tasks are broken into reasonable sections with clear purpose and intention behind each skill block. The tutor does not bulk out lesson time with unnecessary skill revision or busy work, instead referring you to previous stages, or instructing to repeat the process. While my own tools, an Android tablet, limit my ability to fully use this program in the way this course intends, I know I can use all the skills presented in the course and return to it to refresh my skills as well as update my skills with proper hotkeys and workflow tips.

I purchased Whidi Muttaqien's Basic course which was great. This intermediate is also very well made and full of important information for those who really want to learn Krita. Now to conclude the course I also purchased the advanced level course. Personally, I think it is one of the best courses on this platform. I have purchased others, but they are not remotely comparable. Whidi has a great knowledge of the program and manages to make the lessons understandable, which although difficult, are extremely understandable. It deserves the money spent on its course. Congratulations Whidi!!

I like how thoroughly every function is explained. I've already used photoshop and illustrator before, so I decided to start from intermediate level. I think it was a good choice, because while I'm familiar with graphic software functions in general, I'm still new to Krita and I wasn't sure what exactly Krita can and cannot do, and where is what. Life is a bit hectic, so I don't have time to explore the software on my own or look for bits and pieces about it on youtube. It's super nice and handy to have someone explain everything concisely and efficiently, all in one place. It's also good to refresh in my memory some stuff I haven't used in a while, so I can go and do my thing without worrying about whether I know what I'm doing or am I doing it right.

Was really good. I knocked 1/2 star because if you were trying to follow along, you could wind up tossing out your work as you find out later that what you were doing was not going to be used. It wasn't much in terms of time as you watched the video, but if you stopped and tried to match the work as it was going to keep up, it could be a while. Minor issue. Great course. Happy I invested in it.

The course teaches you many different technics to use in provided projects. I personally learned a lot from this course and how krita is working. From me is it a clear recommendation to get that curse if you would like to use krita in your projects. Krita is free to use and a great alternative to paid ones and gives amazing possibilities for colouring and painting, with different types of masks. The course covers much more technics and approaches. Big thanks to Widhi for sharing his knowledge and experience with us!

I am an experienced artist with years of experience in traditional mediums in fine art and graphic design. Since retiring I have been focusing on digital media to develop an income stream. I have been playing around with Krita for a few years now but never really had the time to commit to learning the software. This course along with the basic introduction course has given me the confidence to do Print-On-Demand as an income stream. I found the course well thought out with cohesiveness between lessons and just the right amount of challenge to keep my interest without becoming overwhelmed. I would definitely recommend these two courses, in tandem, to anyone trying to move from traditional to digital media using Krita software.

I have enjoyed this course. I found the computer voice easier to understand than the voice from Widhi however this did not detract from the course. I downloaded the videos and worked on them without the internet. I ticked off the course content as I completed them, or when I remembered, but the progress counter didn't increment properly. Thank you for a very educational course, I shall look out for the next one.
