Course Description
Digital Product Management is a specialty discipline within general product management, but increasingly, just about any business will be integrating aspects of digital into their products and processes. Much focus has been put on digital product management as related to startups and new business creation. However, digital is increasingly a strategic aspect of just about any business from manufacturers to retailers. This course will not only go deeply into various aspects of business strategy, competitive analysis and lifecycle management, but digital specific issues for both pure digital products and digital aspects of traditional businesses. Of course we'll cover product roadmapping and product management for Web and Mobile. And while we'll be looking at a lot of the "How To Do It" technologies, (Minimum Viable Product definition, Agile Methods, Product Creation from Wireframes to Code), we're also going to go over a wide variety of digital business models. We're going to look at a lot of the "Whys" and think about "What are the right things to do." These are the questions Product Managers need to answer for customers, co-workers, their businesses and stockholders.
This course is the result of decades or Product Management leadership, team building and mentorship. Most of the material comes from hands on use in training or mentoring product managers or answering specific questions practitioners have faced in the field.
The slides in the presentation are based on real world presentations done over time. The narrative intenationally closely follows the slides so that anyone who happens to use the course on a small device with challenging display can still hear everything and anyone who wants to skip the listening could more quickly go through the slides.

I've enjoyed a great career as an Innovative leader in development and deployment of successful digital product implementations and marketing strategies. My experience includes digital product strategy, development and marketing along with product team building and mentorship. (And also a great deal of new invention efforts leading to 6 patents and more pending.) I've also been lucky enough to be part of several great startup companies that have grown and thrived.
When not working, family comes first. And beyond that I've got several hobbies from flying light aircraft to woodworking and playing ice hockey. I also enjoy serving my community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT.

I signed up for this course to learn about digital product management with no experience or knowledge. I have a 20-year old MBA so a lot has changed since then. The course is excellent and the only reason I didn't give it a perfect 5 stars is the references could be refreshed and a number links are no longer valid.

Yes, this course has been a good match for me. I am able to get an understanding and also deeper insights of my current role in my organization. The resources provided alongwith each video is very detailed and will help in revising the course in the future.

I would've rated Good ... it's early in the course, and still mapping the playing field for the Product Manager. As this is essential to have clear, it's been unhelpful - even annoying at times - for the presenter to clutter the space with trivial lists of possible role names and other trivial data. If these were simply listed on the slide, fine, but he speaks them and they are like marbles being tossed under your feet when you're learning to walk.

This course is simply amazing. Scott makes it so descriptive and so easy, its like combining the details as you would learn in typical university course along with latest trends and industry practices, something that would struggle to learn on your own. His subject matter expertise is simply amazing. Whats more, peeks into Agile, Marketing Connect, tips on stakeholder management and gaining market insights, the technical connect, makes it a holistic course on Product Management with a Digital flavor. I would recommend this course for all IT Senior leadership staff as they would deal with Digital products one or the other way. Thank You Scott.

This course is apt for people looking for theoretical knowledge with intention of passing an examination. Not much of a value add for professionals who are looking to learn useful skills in a short time. Some of the links provided in resources section are not working anymore. Too much focus on theory with very less connection to practical implications

Given the increased use of Agile methodologies across the board in many companies, the instructor does well in providing an explanation of the traditional practices product management and comparing them to practices one may see in Agile environments.

Content is the king here. One of the best overall course on PM in the market. Some improvements could be done in delivery, but for a net value add in learning what is really out there in the real world, this course is an ace!

Scott does an incredible job of introducing students to Product Management. He provides helpful tools, tricks, and methodologies to help you become a new PM (or a better PM in my case). Highly recommend this course.

The course needs more of explanation and examples. So far it has been like reading a book, just that instead of you reading, someone else is reading it for you. even people who cant read on small screens or just want to hear ,dont want to go through word by word of PPts. idea is to take the crux of the slide and put in proper exaplanantions. Its not about refund also, as it is disappointing to first buy, go through slides and then apply for refund. As product manager , The UX has to be significantly improved to engage customers.

There is a logical scaffolding of information. The time also taken to explain the course layout and navigation was important and contributed to my understanding of the types of interactions I could have with the material.
