Course Description

This course will serve as an introduction to the Solidity Programming Language. We will cover all of the syntax unique to the Solidity language, as well as built in methods. Students will write code along side the instruction videos throughout the course, and finally complete a project that includes writing a smart contract, running a test suite against that contract, and deploying it to the Goerli test network.


This course is targeted at senior level software developers in the web2 space looking to make the jump into web3, although if you are not a senior engineer do not fret; we are happy to have you as well!. The course is part of a larger finishing school, called the Macro Engineering Fellowship. Excellent course, concept very clearly explained, and with lots of information.

Too fast speed of speaking. Too much technical things are compressed in too short time. There should be a separate course on installing the solidity environment so that the students can start programming from the start of this course. There should be introductory lectures on declaration of variables and functions and their types. The course is impractical to follow as the pace is very fast.

Awesome course! Great intro to solidity

Really enjoyed it. I thought there was some ambiguity in the knowledge test instructions, although maybe it's that way intentionally? "Modify the changeTokens() function in such a way that it changes the state variable called tokens" -- modifies it how? I initially just added a third token using tokens.push but after running tests and reading the error I understood that the goal was to update "tokens" to reflect the local "t" array. Also the various require statements are expecting a particular error message but that's only called out in the instructions for one of them. Just a little feedback, thanks :)
