Course Description

The pipeline is not the problem. A diverse talent pool exists. Now is the time for you to develop new skills and identify new tools to help you both attract, hire, and retain that talent.

If you are currently involved in hiring, interviewing, recruiting, and/or sourcing talent, then this course is for you. This course is designed to not only provide you with guidance for how best to source and recruit a diverse workforce, but to also:

  • Teach you how to identify and mitigate both individual and systemic hiring-related biases at each stage of the hiring process

  • Help you create an inclusive and equitable hiring process from start to finish

  • Challenge you to reflect on your current sourcing, recruiting, and hiring practices, and identify how best to apply your new learnings from this course

Please keep in mind that while sourcing and hiring a diverse mix of people should be a priority for your organization, equally as important is ensuring that you are establishing both an equitable and inclusive workplace for existing and future employees. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to check out our DEI 201 course, which is designed to guide you through how to develop a holistic DEI strategy that goes beyond just recruiting and sourcing, but also takes into consideration leadership engagement, budgeting, data & metrics, and more.

Note: This course has been updated as of January 2023 and now includes a downloadable e-book at the end of the course!

Teachers seem to know a lot about bias in a hiring process and, at least, until this pint, all they talk about makes sense to me and I feel can learn of my mistakes for my future hiring processes.

By Stephen Wyszomierski on 1/8/2025

Good information and I definitely picked up some items to take back. However, the breaks were too many (and starting every 2 minutes with the music and the logo was annoying).

By Taniah Flynn on 7/1/2024

The course was very informative and allowed me to see where my firm was getting it right and also some things we could implement. Effective communication and well thought out presentation. I would take this course again as a refresher but will certainly download the e-book for future references.

By Anonymized User on 6/17/2024

I liked the bitesize, well structured content. The course would benefit from a more varied delivery style to keep up engagement, the format with the slides and presentation became a bit repetitive over time.

By Amrita Singh on 4/16/2024

Really informative and challenges you to think what you are currently doing the scope to improve upon and make some really useful suggestions.

By Anonymized User on 10/26/2023

A good course. It covers the recruitment process with theory and tips to identify and reduce bias. The most is that inspires you to want to do better.

By Barbara Santaniello on 10/11/2023

Yes this course was a good match since I have participating in hiring for many years and will continue. It spoke openly about bias that most of us do not realize we have.

By Kathleen Seipp on 8/9/2023

Yes. I am a recruiter with a company that values DEI but it is a journey and some of the suggestions made are invaluable to increasing our DEI success. I wish every hiring manager would be required to take this course!

By Anonymized User on 2/22/2023

Gaps between videos, many that were only a minute long, when filled with the same music and graphic became very tedious. You could easily have combined some of the sessions

By Kara Nickerson on 2/8/2023

I think the videos are a bit too short, it may just be the music in between is a bit annoying. Short videos can also be a good thing since its drawing more of my focus to whats being said
