Create an eCommerce Website Using Laravel (PHP & MySQL) (Udemy.com)

The course is outdated for one. Paypal has switched to a smart button setup that requires API knowledge to implement. Second, the instructor makes tons of mistakes throughout the videos. Sometimes 5-10 minutes is spent watching him try to figure out what he did wrong. I realize this is a part of programming, but it makes it VERY difficult to comprehend the correct way to do things. There are also multiple times where he says he'll fix it before the next video, but then never explains what he did to fix it. This is especially true for the problems with Quantity Ordered on the cart page. You do come away with solid knowledge of using PHP to interact with MySQL databases and pass variables to the URL. I will give him that. But overall I was very disappointed by the end of it.

En las preguntas y respuestas que hay en cada vídeo, la gente le pregunta dudas y fallos y él, muchas veces, no contesta o responde con otra cosa. Menos mal que es gratuito, sino menudo fraude.

Having completed this course, it has been my observation that Mr. Abdul Wali is a very competent web developer and fantastic instructor on the subject. A project of the size he undertook in this course is very much worth a compensation, and it was my complete delight and well-appreciated new year's present to have been offered this course free of charge! He is a very very knowledgeable man. I am glad I have taken this course. Except towards the end he began more to work and less teaching. And costumers can only order 1 item per visit, this is no good, He didn't tell how to fix this. Also, all through the course he kept saying we will get the code at the end, then the end came and he never mentioned it. and I don't know where it is.. But, I would take courses from him again, he definitely knows what to do.

Perfect course for beginners. Sometimes he makes mistakes and that's exactly the reason why this course is perfect for beginners. You will experience the struggle of making (sometimes stupid) mistakes and how to fix them easily. Oh and it doesn't get too complected, he keeps it simple.

In a real-time programming sometimes is hard to eliminate occuring errors, so could be an improvement if you could cut off these situations from the lessons. PHP is entered into the object oriented programming world, so with reusable codes you can also improve your lessons. I liked very much your lessons, and helped me to understand the shopping site programming a lot and also php. Thank you very much!

This course has been very beneficial in upgrading my skill-set in php/mysql. Well-taught and interesting with a great deal of programming detail not only in php but html, css, and javascript as well. Some previous knowledge of these languages would be helpful to those taking this course. More advanced knowledge of MySql stored procedures and views also helps to simplify the php coding somewhat. I developed my site without the use of a web-host but, otherwise, the finished product was fully functional. And very nice looking as well. I would recommend this course without hesitation.

It's not really a "from scratch" course in the sense there isn't a crash course in HTML, CSS, and PhP. It's supposed you have some brackground in these languages. I have no experience with PhP and this has been an excellent way to start playing with it and get to understand how it works. As far as e-commerce goes this project seems to leave room for security breaches.

Course completion status = 50% This is a great course so far. Pre-requisites for the course are: 1) HTML 2) CSS 3) PHP If you are a total beginner, then you should read beginner books on these topics - preferably from the "Heads First" series of O'Reily. The teacher assumes you are familiar with all these concepts. However, if you have a basic knowledge of these 3 subjects , then this course does a good job of putting those skillsets together and instructing you how to construct an e-commerce site. That takes you easily to the next level in PHP proficiency. The only con is that this video was made in 2014. Hence, the HTML styling (particularly without CSS) sometimes do not work. The site also worked differently in different browsers. Sometimes, the site was perfectly working in Google but not Firefox. Sometimes it was Firefox that was displaying the site correctly. I used all three browsers to check if it was browser compatibility issue or code issue. I also faced initial issues while working with session variables. However, they were resolved as I went ahead and I an also put it down to my unfamiliarity with them. So, do not panic, if things do not work as shown in the video (happened only 1-2 times out of the 50 lectures I have had so far). You can easily resolve them. But there is solid material to be learned from this course. I look forward to completing this course soon enough.
