The explanations are middle school age level. The concepts are easy to understand but not enriched well, therefore, the course doesn't stand out. The examples feel like they've been improvised and do not help an in-depth understanding. 1 example system that embodies all principles would help much better than random examples for each principle. Then we'd construct an economic system together in this one hour.

The instructor's examples seem biased. Clean environment vs high income levels doesn't take into account the long-term investment clean environment has on the economy

This was a good beginner class giving a very basic introduction to economics. Individuals with a background in economics would not gain much from the actual knowledge. However, they would gain benefit from the watching the teaching styling, specifically, learning how to break down such a large subject into smaller chunks so as to better explain them to those without the background.

The concepts taught in this course made me see the world through an economist's eyes although I am an engineering student. Evrim has an engaging delivery and totally keeps the learner focused. I wish to listen to her live as well. I loved the example of invisible hand, magic and unicorn.

Loved this course! I am a beginner in Economics and Evrim gave me a basic understanding of how the economy works which I will continue to explore in other courses. The course is really short, so you won't get very much detail in each principle but what WAS given was very informative and very enlightening. Great course all in all! PS: It also helps that Evrim has a beautiful personality! Very bubbly.

This course is a very good opening for Economics. The way teacher introduces the subject is very simple and easy to understand and keep in mind.Even you don't have any economy background you can understand the basics quickly.Examples given during the course makes the subject interesting.It is fun to listen the teacher. I recommend the course to everyone who wants to understand the economic principals in a short time.

I loved the course as the difficult concepts are broken down into the simplest forms. She explains the principles by giving examples from the real life which makes everything clear. The professor is doing an excellent job. I highly recommend this course as she is natural and the way she explains the theories are absolutely making the course worth it.

Great overview of the basic economic principles. I haven't studied any longer courses on economics, but being a bit older I had time to reflect on many of the subjects addressed. The course gives names, and reasons for the economy behaving in the way I have experienced the. So the course gives a good summary, overview, and some formalization to economy. Looking forward to the next courses.

Especially the real life case studies are based on clear explanations and examples are very beneficial for every one who are concerned with Economy. Also, gestures and expressions of the lecturer hold listener's attention. I highly recommend this course who wants to improve their lives by applying the concepts explained in this course.

I find this course very efficient. It gives beginners an excellent entry into economics and illustrates verbally as well as visually, the first simple steps to the important connections between Supply, demand, trade and market development.
