Course Description

[DISCLAIMER: This course requires you to download Docker from docker(dot)com. If you are a Udemy Business User, please check with your employer before downloading]

Elastic 8 is finally released. And so admins fear the breaking changes and new functionalities.

But no worries! - This course will help you getting started with Elastic 8.x.

This course will teach you on how to setup your elastic cluster by yourself to ingest monitoring data to it.

Also you learn on how to upgrade your cluster to a new version.

I will give you a brief overview on how to design a cluster as well as hands on examples on creating a cluster and ingesting data into it.

I will give you examples on how to create a cluster in Elastic using docker and Ubuntu.

Also I will show you on how to ingest data with elastic beats and how to create retention policies for your data.

I also compare for you the changes between elastic 7.6 and elastic 8.x and show you what changed during this major release.

This course since elastic is bringing many changes in a short period of time will constantly grow.

Topics like elastic Logstash and way more topics are already planned and will be released soon - for free when you purchase this course. I will keep updating this course as long as elastic 8.x is the most recent version of elastic.

So with that being said - this is the course for everyone who wants to use elastic, Kibana, beats...

Material and instructor were great and clear explanation. But I was expecting more information about visualization, monitoring and alerting in Kibana

It is good, but if it is practical in Linux or Ubuntu it will be excellent.

Material and instructor were great; only issue I had was with the volume of the of the course. It was fine if I wore a headset, but can't do that for hours on end.

This was a great course that provided comprehensive coverage of the topics. The instructor clearly has deep experience, and I was able to learn a lot of new concepts. It gave me a solid foundation to build on. The only area where I felt slightly lost was during the switching between Docker and native deployments, especially in the clustering section. It would have been helpful to have separate sections for each approach to make it easier for viewers to follow along and save time. Overall, this course is well-suited for anyone looking to understand how Beats push data to Elasticsearch and how to visualize it in Kibana.

Thank you for your course and repository, it is very suitable for DevOps and those who want to configure a detailed ELK stack. Although the speaking speed is a bit fast.

A very good introduction to Elasticsearch. Now that I have finished, I feel that I have improved a lot, both in knowledge and in my control of Elastic tools and Kibana.

Very good intro to the Elastic Stack. Shows how to set up and configure an entire stack on your local machine, from creating the cluster itself, and then creating/getting data, sending the data to your Elasticsearch cluster, and finally visualizing the data in Kibana.

Well course, teqcher has well and clear english, this course is for basic understanding of Ełk stack so in my opinion all basic things was fully explained.

There is a lot of material presented in a very easy flowing manner to grasp easily. The practical's in this are great to build your own lab. Personally this will enable me to add another skillset in troubleshooting workflows especially using filebeat and auditbeat. It would be good if there were sections on packetbeat and winlogbeat...maybe.
