Hii, this is Yao. So, I was an Advertising graduate. We did touch a bit of cameras and film here and there during uni, but that was during mco and I'm a really slow learner, so I didnt understand most things there. Currently, I'm working in a commercial production company that do shoots. I like it there, but I am a bit miserable cause I am so unfamiliar with the cameras and the basics and everything, so I'm basically useless there. So, I'm glad that there is a course out here that actually go downs to the basics step by step, that could help me learn. So, thank you very much!!

I didn't realize just how much I didn't know about cameras and camera functionality until I watched this. This course should literally be everyone's first step when they pick up a camera. Not to mention, Potato Jet's personality is shining throughout this whole thing. Full of personality, making it enjoyable to learn.

Gene knows how to keep you engaged, which I believe is one of the most important qualities when it comes to teaching. Only people who are truly passionate and deeply knowledgeable can do that. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to understand the basic terms and concepts of photography and filming. Clear, concise, and inspiring.

I knew a lot of information he went through already but it was nice to know he pretty much starts at a point of you don’t even know what a camera is. Even with some background knowledge he still covered material I didn’t know like codecs, tuning white balance, and hider end camera operations. Also he’s super personable and definitely someone you WANT to learn from.

I find it annoying that it has to get rid of full screen to go to another lesson. I've done courses before with other sites and know that there's the potential to keep it full screen. It just takes me out of the moment.

It's been nice. He's a very charismatic person and I think that helps a lot with the learning process.
