Course Description

Hello, everyone!

By following this BLoC - From Zero to Hero course, you will successfully learn the BLoC State Management solution, so if you have doubts in understanding or practicing all of its concepts, I really recommend checking it out right here!

Before you check it out though, I would like to tell you that this series is designed with both the theoretical and most importantly, practical (coding) parts of every discussed topic. All of the project files can be found on my github page.

Also, the series was carefully monitored by the amazing creator of bloc_library, Felix Angelov.

On the other hand, without without the slightest restraint I feel like my series is the best bloc_library playlist on the entire internet.

Don't take my word for it, try it by yourself!

A briefing of everything that's been covered in this playlist, so you know what to expect:

  1. Why BLoC? In this video I explained why I chose bloc_library for both the state management solution and the architectural structure of my apps

  2. BLoC Core Concepts - In this tutorial I got really in-depth in explaining streams, and the concepts of blocs & cubits.

  3. Flutter BLoc Concepts - Here, I discussed each and every single one of bloc_library's concept like BlocProvider, BlocBuilder, BlocListener and many many more. These concepts are obviously explained and tested in every tutorial, since they are the base of bloc_library.

  4. BLoC Architecture - In this tutorial I made a short introduction on what I believe it's the best architecture to follow in order to structure and scale your code over time! This video has no code inside my github page, since I'm planning on using it extensively on my follow-up tutorial series on building real world apps!

  5. BLoC Testing - Testing is one of the most important pillars of programming, oftenly omitted by developers. In this video I'll explain what are the basics of testing a bloc-built small application.

  6. BLoC Access & Navigation - In this tutorial I got really in-depth on what are the routing options on which you can successfully provide a cubit/bloc to the widget tree.

  7. Bloc-to-bloc Communication - Here I wanted all my viewers to understand how important it is to know how to make 2 blocs/cubit communicate one with another.

  8. BuildContext In-Depth - This tutorial is not really related to the bloc_library, but since build contexts are used everywhere inside a flutter app, I realised that most of people didn't understand how they really work. This video is also useful as it spreads out the knowledge gained from tutorial number 3 and 6.

  9. Bloc 6.1.0 - During my tutorial series, a new version of bloc_library got released, containing some important changes like context.watch, context.read and context.select. All of these are covered in this video, as always, with intuitive examples.

  10. Bloc State not Updating - In this video, I explained why most of the new developers encounter this popular issue of a state of a bloc/cubit not updating.

  11. Maintaining State with Hydrated_Bloc - In this tutorial I got really in-depth about how you can store the state of multiple blocs/cubits on the app's internal storage on your device. This is a key concept in developing a successful Flutter app, having bloc_library as the state management feature.

  12. Debugging Blocs/Cubits, Naming Conventions and other tips and tricks is the last video of this series, covering other important topics found inside the flutter_bloc library.

Thank you and hopefully you are as excited as I am!

I am compelled mentally to put a review for this course cause I liked it that much. I will start by saying that I am glad that I opted to take this course. This is one of those courses who start as a fun tutorial but end up giving you all the knowledge you need to fully understand the subject without the unnecessary brain stress and make you look smart. The matter, the way of teaching, the topic coverage and the engaging language you use is absolutely stunningly amazing. Few things will make it state of the art which I found to be improved or to be added: 1. A little slowdown in the video while showing the code and explaining bits of it as I had to watch the videos multiple times or at times stop them to understand what is being done in the code. Not too big of an issue though. 2. Provide the slides you displayed in your course as a downloadable resource as I had to take screenshots to save some information. The slides will be an invaluable asset in referring and connecting to the information I learned. Lastly, thank you for making this course. I absolutely loved it and I am keeping my watchful eye for more of such courses related to Flutter.

THIS IS SUCH A HIDDEN GEM... It's a pity that it's somewhat old now (now being 2026), but for bloc base knowledge it's amazingly well explained, and it dives into related architectural topics not necessarily bloc related. It's still super useful. I've learnt more from this course than from many other ones combined!!!

By far the best course I’ve ever seen on a library/design pattern and architecture. The teaching style is simple, direct, and incredibly effective. It explains everything with clear examples, focusing energy on the concepts and the why behind each decision, rather than just writing endless lines of code. With just one example, you can dive deeper and practice on your own later. Because of that, I think this was the most on-point course I’ve come across. Congratulations!

This course taught me everything I needed to know about BLoC and flutter_bloc and bloc. This is a very worth purchase and I can't thank the creator enough. As I am just starting out creating real apps ( and because I am 12 years old (not joking)) I found this course very fun because the animations and everything. The instructor explains everything very engagingly. And as always, let's get wckd .

I did like the course and the teacher. But it needs updating because some topics are already outdated. The beginning was very good and informative, but towards the end (From section 9 and on) not so many useful topics were taught (With the exception of Section 11). My feedback for this course would be: Update the topics with the newest versions of the libraries and probably covering more important topics.

It is really really cool, the way that he teaches us can help me easy to understand and save my time a lot. He is one of the best teachers whom I learned. Thank you for your courses! I hope you will release a lot of courses about "Flutter unit testing in deep", and "Flutter animation in deep". "Flutter Clean Architecture in deep" or many many more.

The videos are too fast with outdated content. I could not understand properly. By the time you hear the lecture and look at the screen, it'd have changed to something else. The author has undoubtedly superior knowledge in the subject, but the course is too fast to comprehend the basic principles. The current bloc version is 8.0.1 and is very different from the 6.x.x version that is being taught in the course.

I enjoyed this course... But my general advice would be: don't buy this course. You can get it for free from his YouTube channel. Just go there and get it. Sure WCKD deserves to earn an extra buck here on Udemy. But if the content is available for free on YouTube, people can just go there and get it. Anyway I payed for the course and have not regretted paying. It was definitely worth the small amount of money.

This is the most helpful course about Flutter BLoC I've ever found. Highly recommended for those who are already familiar with BLoC concept as well as Flutter bloc library. Though the course title says 'From Zero', tbh, you shouldn't start from zero or else you would find the content pretty hard to follow ^^

lack of detail implementation. By far, this is only a conceptual course, which by the way very useful. The example depth is not enough to makes one understand the concept clearly. On the other hand, the conceptual and fundamental explanation is great. Another note is that the instructor way of communication is not that great, he speaks like he's reading text. The speed of communication is also bad, there is no pause between sentence that he speak
