Fortigate Firewall - Admin Crash Course (Udemy.com)

Very good course. Very pleased with the purchase. The content was just what I needed to quickly get to grips with Fortigate FW. Thanks to the instructor for putting it together.

Nicht schlecht, aber noch Luft nach oben.Es ist halt nur ein Crashkurs und auch nicht mehr. Zum Auffrischen ganz ok, dafür 4 Sterne. Als absoluter Neuling ohne Vorkentnisse wird man hier nicht viel Ernten. Meine Meinung. Alle wichtigen Themen werden angesprochen, aber vieles wird halt auch nicht in der Tiefe behandelt.

I am about half way through the course and I think Ofer does a great job of choosing the most important administrative topics and then he explains them in short and specific detail. So far, this is a great course to quickly get up to speed on the most important basics of administering FortiGate firewalls.

I think this is a good overview of the features and setup. I think it may be helpful to re-arrange the order so that it presents the topics in a way that allows a new admin to work from a new, default configuration to having one lan subnet accessing the wan, to one vlan accessing the wan, etc up to the more complicated network topologies.

This course was exactly what I needed to get started and I am sure I will refer to parts of it in the future as my knowledge increases and I need to implement more features. I like that he takes his time and explains everything clearly. I also appreciate the back and forth between the GUI and the CLI.

Great but it seems can we better than this few stuff was not well explained. overall It's great.

Superb!! Easy to catch up

I enjoyed the course and feel that it was well structured and informative. I like the smaller video lessons of less than five minutes it allows you to grasp the information a lot better.
I hope there will be additional videos in the future to expand on the knowledge, so it does go out-of-date.

This course is based on FortiOS version 6.0.2. The current version is 6.4.3 and many menu items have changed. I couldn't follow along with the email notifications because that has now been moved to Security Fabric. The Policy Objects menus have changed as well. I hope I can figure out the differences and follow along.

Awesome beginning. Trainer is venting all possible energy to make sure topic is interesting and not too lengthy.
