Professional Addiction Counselling Diploma Course (Udemy.com)

The document provided has alot of wonderful information but the videos were a very brief overview of the document, some more in depth than others. I would have appreciated actually being taught the document more and having Karen E Wells go through the document completely in the videos instead of being self-led through the document.

i found this course helpful as i am a trained practicing trauma counselor since 2002. 2022 i changed from the child protection sector to working in addiction recovery and just last year i was asked to step into the position of facilitator for the therapeutic games segment for those in our addiction recovery programme. I'm just curious why the final test has become obsolete.

me taking this course first i am an ex addict and i have alot of experience in addiction because i was in it.and this have giving me alot of information on how to help others people that are straggling with addiction and saving a life means more to me

The course fully accredited professional addiction counseling diploma is very comprehensive and easy to understand .The instructors made sure that they are giving the information in a way that won't make me confused .Thank you so much for providing this great course.

Being someone with counselling experience and recently having found a passion to work with addiction, this course has given me insights that were exceptionally helpful to being able to assist with these cases.

I found the content a little limited in honesty was expecting more information. Also , i find the certifcation process confusing. Throughout the video Karen says it isnt necessary to send any details. But when I attempted to get my certificate her team insist I need to send in the final test assessment. Very confusing.

This course is absolutely helpful for me to understand the clients drug addiction symptoms, their thought pattern ,coping strategies & how the problem developed.

I believe it is a good match, I have a little experience in counselling but not enough to say I'm confident in my abilities. I know that I need to practice and further my training to be at a level where I am comfortable.

A great overall discussion on addictions, however, it is misleading that it is advertised as Accredited by CTAA because there is no CTAA certificate offered at the end of the course. I have taken many courses on Udemy, and whenever they have been advertised as "Accredited By..." there is always a secondary certificate available for download (usually upon request) once the course has been completed. After completing this course I contacted Dr. Wells to receive my Accredited Certificate and she responded by saying they do not provide a CTAA certificate and that I could contact the CTAA association. Very disappointed as an Accredited Certificate is regarded as a much higher standard than the Udemy certificate in the professional world.
