Hi , I m Panos

I studied business and have an MSc in Marketing and an MBA from Nottingham Trent business school. I have worked in various roles in advertising, market research, consulting, video streaming and content publishing.

I have been creating data products for the best part of the last decade, either it be BI dashboards, data platforms, machine learning models or API modules. Being a lifelong learner, I was always up to new challenges, knowing that I will eventually find resources and courses online that will help me prepare and excel. When I first became a data product manager however, there was hardly an article, let alone a course, help me navigate through what to expect. Countless data products later, I still struggle to find enough resources online to further grow my career. I decided to package my experience in the format of a course and shed some light on what the concepts of data product management and data strategy mean. I want to help aspiring professionals to enter the world of data products.

I hope you like my course!

90% of material that is well known for anybody with 3+ years of expirience at any data role. I feel that the speech is prepared much better than content and being just reading while slides change. And accelerated x1.2 for some reason, maybe to hide that the content is so poor.

By Ameya Dhavle on 9/28/2025

Appreciate: 1. Structured content with clean slides and points that are often easy to understand and mostly relevant 2. Layout of the content is good Needs improvement: 1. Repetitive content. Features and goals or values are often described exactly same with slight tweaks to the verbiage. Also, the feature, challenges specified in most of the types of data products is similar or often same. 2. Instructor is often reading the content on the screen with very little add-ons during the commentary or generic information that is not a value add Poor audio quality - Fluctuations in the voice modulations, by modules. Low volume in some modules, the accent of the instructor is not in global English, thanks to the captions

I recently finish the Data Product Management Fundamentals from Udemy course, and I was not disappointed. The course is truly exhaustive and possibly the best as it seeks to incorporate all the aspects of data product management. Subsections develop aspects of the conceptual and terminological foundations, as well as strategic and technical facets of the position progressively. It was easy to comprehend the pace of the course, and its format is comprehensible. The course was taught by an expert in the field and he provided great information about the role of the data product manager and what success entails. This is very good course and I recommend it for anyone who wants to get a good grounding in data product management!

it was interesting, but way too general. Though I got information that helped me to understand how the processes go at my current employment, I was lacking more practical things or references. Anyways, I think it is a course that is worth watching for people who are at the earlier stages of the sw-development, or data-related fields.

As a relatively experienced data product manager, I treated this somewhat as "revision" and "ensuring I had no gaps"! As such, this is a thorough review of data product management, covering many bases. It points the way to areas where more depth may be/will be required without digging too deeply and therefore successfully manages a comprehensive overview. To complement the course, follow-up suggestions are provided which are very useful and the "bonus" module has some good nuggets of advice. For me, I think the quizzes were redundant as the answers were obvious without even reviewing the content - these could be a bit more challenging to ensure real understanding. I think in some instances more real-world examples may have been preferable to really show how choices could be/should be made between different technologies etc, rather than having the abstract benefits spelled out and it remaining theoretical - data product management is one of those areas where theory/frameworks can be quickly forgotten in the cut and thrust of the everyday, so having pragmatic advice or real-life experiences of the Instructor would really help.

All good so far but the sound quality is pure. It does impact the process of learning. Thanks for understanding The first part of the course was amazing. The second part is very very basic and generic. Although I understand that all the product managers should have common skills, the part of the skills was fundamental.
