The course provides a quick overview on aspects of ageing. However, I would like to suggest for more robust usage of literature and citations as there were several sources that were from many years back or WikiPedia. Hopefully, the educator can also have a course which talks more on the Psychiatry of ageing which could be relevant for individuals working with older adults,

The content is helpful, but the accompanying transcript is incorrect and can lead to confusion. The course content is also old, with references more than ten years old. The content needs to be updated to be relevant.

Yes. I have always considered myself as a Geriatrician because I am a medical doctor. But 90% of my patients have dementia, and aside from the challenges of managing dementia, and dementia related disorders such as anxiety, depression, etc. I also manage their caregivers. I think in time, and with the proper certificate I can also claim that I am a Geropsychologist.

It's a good review of things I already knew but have forgotten, and it's also a good course for teaching me new things that I didn't know already. She also gives good examples, and this class is helping me understand older people much better, so I'm glad of taking this class.

Thoroughly enjoyed this content rich course about the psychology of older age. I took this course as I am contemplating of getting into the health care profession by doing personal support work in a home care facility setting and take more training as needed. I highly recommend this course if you are like myself thinking of taking this path. Thanks Elmira for the awesome course. :)

Its a decent course and it gave me a different perspective in this field. I like her teaching skill as it's very detailed. The break down of Life stages and theories was well done. Thanks

Yes. Its fascinating. Very interesting terminologies I could learn about. I work with older people on a daily basis. This course let you look at older people differently. Also a positive outlook on getting old, being healthy, socializing and a good well being for myself. Learning a bit more about depression, very basic and helpful. Many thanks

The course provides rich content and a foundation for exploring advanced topics. He helped me understand the physical and emotional needs of older people and sensitized me to the drama of isolation, depression, health problems and others. Having known the difficulties of the way, I now have the tools to help people in these conditions and prepare a better future for me and my family.
