Course Description
Data Management is one of the most important competencies your company has. With Digital Transformation at the top of the strategic agenda for many large organizations, Data Governance and Data Management are vital to building a strong foundation for integration, analysis, execution, and overall business value. Business and data professionals are currently facing The Fourth Industrial Revolution's convergence of megatrends around Customer 360, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, programmatic marketing, and globalization. To survive these unrelenting business pressures, it's more critical, and strategic, than ever to put your data to work!
In this course, you will learn about the various disciplines of data management. First, you will discover what Data Governance is and why you might want to implement a governance program for your organization, after which you will go through some very basic exploratory Data Analysis using the Python programming language.
Next up, you'll cover basic Database Design, Data Quality essentials, and the fundamentals of the Structured Query Language. Then, you will get hands-on with some rudimentary Data Integration ETL, as well as Big Data with Hadoop.
Finally, you will explore the various disciplines in the Data Management space.
By the end of the course, you will have a firm understanding of enterprise data management and what the various disciplines do.

It was realy a good experience about data management. However, I work now as project development officer. It would be nicer if the course given to me is much closely relevant to my current work functions.

The Data Management online course is a valuable starting point for anyone looking to build strong data fundamentals. While it may not replace advanced specialization programs, it effectively equips learners with essential knowledge and practical skills needed in many modern workplaces.

As a rookie to data management, this is a great course to begin your data management journey. The immersion into databasing was a bit tough for me to understand, but as a manager, gave me great perspective on what it takes for data integrity.

It was a good review of the basis and how it all works. I'd rather needed to see it from managerial perspective than a developer, but anyway I went through practical part by just watching it - it gave me a better understanding of the purpose of different tools

i enjoyed this course and it exceeded my expectations. This course allowed the opportunity to experience a variety of tools, different ways to access the different tools and to test these tools out.

It was odd to have some overview and business kinds of discussion about Data Management (like Data Governance and Careers) and then have extremely technical sections with installing VMs and writing code for data queries. Felt kind of inconsistent in terms of who the audience is.

During doing the course, I used the learning to a lot of random data sets from Anaconda to SQL to Python to HDFS & I must say, if you are really into going ahead with DM, this is course is must attend.

It was a good course. Tries to do a bit too much trying to incorporate coding in the course. I wanted to do this course just purely to understand concepts of data management. I found Section 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 most relevant to my needs.
