Getting Started with Spring Boot 2 (Udemy.com)

Great course. Very helpful and clear

The idea of the course is really good and practical, but the way how it's presented could be improved: lots of copy-pasting or back and force with the code which is very misleading. Because of that is hard to code along: you have to stop the video, go to documentation, and type it from there(if you wanna learn stuff you better type it, this works not for everyone though).
Tests topic is completely missing, but we deployed to prod. I'd invest more time into the dev environment using docker: mock MySQL, mail service, etc.
Loading test data prposed way looks kinda weird to me

In general I liked the course and found it useful, although I think that the thymeleaf part could have been shorter and there could have been more focus in the logic and possibilities with Voting and Comments

A very good course. It's quite fast paced but covers alot of ground without getting too bogged down in minutiae that some courses are prone to do. Well done Dan.

I have done this course to completion. Overall, it is a very useful course, as are other courses by Dan Vega.
It is a project-based course, so you will end up with a functional product, and can utilize the choices made/overall structure and ideas in your subsequent projects.
As a practical course, it is not focused on explaining every little detail about the Spring/Spring boot framework but rather to get you up and running. I personally found the level of detail enough to understand the majority of the choices made.
The course is not perfect though, and I did get stuck a few times, also raising the issue on the course's github repository.

The educator makes unintentionally mistakes along the course and instead of editing the video out, he solves it 10 minutes later or even in a completely different lesson making the pacing of the chapter awful , is not once or twice, happens ALL THE TIME.
Also the documentation for the last part of the course is completely MISSING, so probably you will be out of your 30-days policy by that time and you will be screw.

This s a great course that you can follow along while developing your Application. It's also great to get extra information on step being performed.

Many videos should be re-recorded. The instructor makes mistakes and corrects during the lesson, this causes a lot of confusion in learning. I do not recommend.

Excellent course. I have purchased other Spring 5 & Boots 2 corse and got lost because poor explanation and juggling from topic to topic without clean step by step strategy. Dan has done great job with this course and I liked documentation with references very much. The only thing I would recommend is whenever author is coding please increase editor's/video recording - screen size, sometimes it is hard to follow when you watch the course on laptop (imho my personal opinion)

Great course which gives a marvellous introduction to Spring Boot. As a bonus, you are also introduced to Thymeleaf for templating, H2 and MySql for DB access and Amazon AWS for the production environment.
The great thing about this course is you get to build a web application from start to finish. You do need to do your own investigations and reading to add to the information that Dan gives to ensure you have a proper understanding of what works and why.
Another good thing is that Dan is not afraid to show when things don't go as expected. That is so comforting to see that you're not the only one who gets things wrong. :-)
